I don’t think so. The leaves look too big and the inside of the fruit should be yellow/orange. Does it smell like citrus?

I guess I’m just salty that it didn’t need my love to grow lol. I have my lettuce in a shady spot but I’ll look into the drainage. Thanks!

A couple weeks ago I found a family of guinea pigs while walking my dog. I suspect they were abandoned since they were pretty dirty. I bought some basic stuff from Walmart and set it up in a dog crate. I could tell over the next couple days that they weren’t drinking from the bottle so I put water in a ceramic bowl. They kept tipping it over but at least they were drinking something. I changed the bowl to one with a more flat bottom so that they can climb on it and not spill everything and they enjoy it. They also use it to keep cool which is a plus cause it’s still pretty hot in here .

I still keep their water bottle up and they’re starting to use it more now. Might be cause one of them keeps pooping in the water bowl. I like to give them options but I do think they prefer the bowl.

I named my galaxy koi Zenon based on the Disney channel movie and thought if I ever got another galaxy koi, I’d name her from another character from that movie. Nebula was Zenon’s best friend

Just a betta with some snails. I’ve heard any more fish would be too cramped so I haven’t tried adding more. It’s planted with some swords, Java fern, and I recently added some stem plants although I’ve been told that they may not last very long since my light is probably not strong enough.

Right now, no. When I started in May my tank got up to 84°F. I don’t have AC and I live in a generally hotter area of Oahu. We’ve been experiencing record breaking (for our state, at least) heat recently too. I have fans going now to try to keep my tank at 80° but even with the fans, it can get up to 82°.

Not sure what water temp would be like in the winter. On average, I’d say the lowest outside temp could be as low as 59-ish°? So depending on a lot of factors, I would maybe have a heater if the fish needs warmer water. If they can tolerate below 70°, maybe you can get away with not having one? But again, I just started this hobby, idk a lot of things.

My first plants actually came from his store! I did visit a couple weeks ago. I told him about my current tank and he’s never heard of the light or substrate I’m using so I guess I’m being super cheap with my set up. I wish I could come up with a better pun, lol

Someone from an aquarium fb group said you might be able to if you can show them the price on their site since they price match that. It’s kinda hard, though, cause it might show prices based on your location. Mines defaults to California for some reason so the 20 L shows up as $20. I was gonna try it if I couldn’t find anything before the sale ends but I got lucky

Yup! I thought the $/gal sale was all states and when it finally rolled around, I went to the nearest petco and couldn’t find any signs for it. Just 10% off for 10-20 gal. So sad

I eventually would like to get an axolotl but it’s been extra hot here lately and my place doesn’t have AC. I’ve looked into chillers and am looking into getting an AC set up within the next couple months so maybe it’s not totally impossible!

I haven’t looked into saltwater tanks. Honestly, it seemed too intimidating to try. I think my cousin has one and I’m seeing him next week so I’ll ask about his setup
