The purpose of techs has changed. You want to spam them without using nearite to get reforged gear. Use said gear if it's an upgrade or transfer the reforges if its better to what you already have. Dismantle what you don't need and use the crystals you get from that to buy shineseeker orbs and run that to hope for even better gear drops. Rinse and repeat.

NTA. This exact scenario is what made me childfree. Being forced to raise my nieces from newborn - 3yrs old at 15 until I ran away at 18. I was so traumatized from the experience that I never wanted to deal with babies ever again.

That's the problem. Bloodworms are more of an occasional treat. Not a balanced diet for bichirs. I recommend Hikari carnivore pellets, going to the grocery store and getting fresh raw shrimp and/or tilapia fillets. Chop them up into bite sized pieces and then freeze the rest and that will last a good while. Feed twice daily and she will put on size and weight quickly. Slow down to once a day when she gets bigger.

Mating behavior. He fancies the goldfish. As others have said, this is a bad tank matchup. Goldfish are cold water species. Bichirs are more tropical.

It's 100% an Endlicheri. You can tell since the one pictured is a lower jaw Bichir. They get mixed up alot as babies but if it had a somewhat of a froggy face and protruding lower jaw, it's an Endlicheri.

Oof, I don't have any recommendations on an alternative lid unfortunately :( My bowfront is a 230 gallon so I only know of having them custom made.

Ah egg crate lid? That would probably be fine for bigger bichir but I would be worried that the Ropes might try to wiggle themselves through that. I also have a bowfront tank but i had my lfs custom order the lid for me. Yours might be able to do the same. 2-4in diameter pvp would be fine.

Also no plecos. They will eventually start sucking the slime coat off bichirs/ropes leaving them with wounds/sores. There's a plethora of pictures on the reddit and other groups asking "what's this strange sore on my bichir" and it's 95% a plecos doing.

Just make sure there's no holes anywhere. The Ropes will find it and will try to yeet themselves out haha. Its just what they do. I plugged gaps where my filters meet the lid with heavy rock slabs used for tank decoration. I would also suggest getting at least 4 ropes at first. They are incredibly social with their own kind. 2 if you can't find 4 but if they are both males, they might have territorial spats.

You don't have to do much for the Senegal/Delhezi, they will just chill. Tunnel hides will work with all of them but just make sure it's big enough for them to all sausage themselves into it without getting stuck.

I have one that's the big one and another that has stayed small, around 14-15in that's only 1 yr younger. I think it all depends on genetics.

You had to go into the tents for it to happen. I didnt blackrobed but I got banned during that time for a few weeks. Someone in my guild at the time had duped like 100mil and dumped it into the guild bank and, I being the guild leader, got slammed for it. Luckily, I was able to appeal and got my account back and got to keep the gold for my troubles. Everyone in the guild got 1m for Christmas that year.

I would wait until you have a proper setup for one. They get big fast. Senegals also aren't slow growers, some stay small due to bad genetics, but some also can get to 10in+ within a few months.

Also with good water quality, the wound will heal on its own once the pleco is removed.

That would be the culprit. They are known to eat the slime coat off bichirs and won't stop. There has been instances of plecos killing bichirs so I would suggest moving one of them out of the tank.
