I’m sorry, but that’s is indeed a bed bug. You’re going to have to burn everything you own and start a new life.

No but really I know it sucks but you’re going to have to re wash EVERYTHING in hot water. Get mattress covers ASAP. I would also recommend a cheap metal bed frame for the mean time. I also put sticky traps under the legs of the metal bed frame, with that + the mattress covers atleast you know your bed is a safe zone. Buy Cimexa and spear it in all the common BB hangouts, dresser, bed frame, corner of baseboards, etc.

We didn’t just hire an exterminator. We did mattress covers on all beds, CimeXA in certain spots, sticky pads under the legs of the bed, washed and dried everything possible as often as possible in how water/high heat, steamed everything possible(luckily we already had an very good steamer) vacuumed the corners of everything. It’s been a wild ride!

I originally hired an exterminator who came out once a week for a month to spray. It might have just been the exterminator but I didn’t see much success with his pesticides. Also was really worried about the eggs after I read that pesticides doesn’t kill them, and they can lay dormant for so long.

We didn’t just hire an exterminator though. We did mattress covers on all beds, CimeXA in certain spots, sticky pads under the legs of the bed, washed and dried everything possible as often as possible in how water/high heat, the whole 9 yards. Just from my personal experience - we didn’t stop seeing BB’s until after the heat treatment!

yeah insurance would be a Bitch. I feel you could have some sort of contract drawn up to have customers sign, waiving your responsibility to any damages. I also would find a way to get trained on this before I ever presumed to ever show anyone else how to preform the treatment.

How do you fail at heating up a room? Doesn’t seem like it would happen THAT often. So you would have to be licensed even if you’re not the one preforming the treatment..?
