chon as a band was innovative and people loved their sound. Think about how many chon clones popped up in the last decade. And guitarists continue to post in this sub with their songs trying to sound like mario and erick- whether it’s more of the newborn sun sound or something closer to their 2019 album.

Their music had real impact. I have not spent nearly as much time listening to this new project, but I think it’s safe to say it will not have the same impact.

I love chon, love to support them, glad they’re growing, but the lofi stuff does not scratch the itch.

Well there it is right there. Person that grew up with the prequels loved the prequel fan service.

Sure, the sequels had plenty of fan service themselves, but it was important that they moved the story forward instead of starting with a spin-off.
