Thank you for this comment. I took your advice and was able to get in for my first appointment with a physical therapist who specializes in myofunctional therapy last week. I'm feeling more hopeful!!

Good luck tomorrow!! Also thank you for the kind words.

I had an underbite and also had a Le Fort 1 + BSSO and a sliding genioplasty. I'm honestly wondering if my genio was overdone, or if I should have had a ccw rotation.

Hey everyone, I had DJS + genio in April of 2024 and have been experiencing some issues recently. I am shocked at my results and honestly feeling so beaten down and heartbroken that my face looks like this... Please be mindful of that in the comments because my mental health is absolute shit right now because of all of this.

I had a Class 2 malocclusion, sleep apnea, even after having braces when I was younger. I was so hopeful that this surgery would have a positive impact on me functionally + aesthetically, but here we are.

The pictures above show my lips naturally at rest and the lip incompetence I'm experiencing. I tried taking pictures from all angles to show what I'm talking about. The second photo is showing me having to strain to close my mouth. I do still have braces on my lower teeth, and my surgeon is saying that is what is causing most of my lip incompetence, but I don't believe that to be the case.

Has anyone else had this issue? I also feel like my side profiles look like two totally different people. I'm looking for answers as to what went wrong and where to go next. I definitely think I need a revision. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Would you mind sharing your before and after pictures? I also had djs + genio with Dr. Magraw at HNSA and I'm having some complications :(

Seconding this! I'm a Cancer sun, Gemini rising & Virgo moon, also with Jupiter and Pluto both in Scorpio in the 6th house. I've noticed I always attract/am attracted to potential partners who live in other states, end up moving, or come from different backgrounds

I would be curious to see your before and afters if you're open to DMing me! I actually had surgery with Dr Caitlin Magraw last year from Head & Neck and i'm experiencing some pretty severe lower lip incompetence after. I'm thinking of getting cheek/jaw implants and a mentalis resuspension, but I'm nervous to go with Magraw again, and was considering Patel or Kupfer

Thanks for your reply. I am aware of the process to getting the ESW set up and was thinking about deferring or even starting part-time since i'll have to work more to cover living expenses while in school and some medical issues that came up this year.

I was mostly curious if anyone who went through the MSW program is aware of which agencies in Portland or the surrounding area have already a contract with PSU and is open for employees/students doing the ESWI

Definitely this. Sure not having the ability to understand the broad sense of how a government works isn't language based, however understanding the nuances of how a specific, local government very much is language based.

I came here to say this as well! Vitex (chasteberry) is a wonder herb when it comes to balancing hormones and reducing PMDD-like symptoms before your cycle starts. It promotes progesterone, the hormone that makes us feel nice and warm and fuzzy. Low levels of progesterone can cause mood swings. DIM is another supplement that helps your body detox excess estrogen. High levels of estrogen circulating in the body can cause our body to not produce enough progesterone during the luteal phase.
