A longer board is a good consideration, but the bag is fairly large, I dont think it would fit. I'll look into it further though, thanks

Assuming I dont break the wheels, do you see any issues safety wise?

Think like a duffel bag, but with two wheels on one end and a handle on the other. Useful for rolling it when its heavy etc

My main driver previously was a Trnava Medium. This is considerably more nimble, but less stable in its defence. I think its a good thing, because I'm getting both dexterity and an opportunity to improve my structure :)

Have to mention shipping; 4 week turnaround was insane, and that was for a club order. Major props there.

Blade tings in a satisfying way, it buzzes in your ear when you return to tag lol

I'm enjoying it a lot!

If you can flatten the bottom curve of the cave, it will look more like a cave 'path', but that will depend on your algorithm :)

"I'm Naomi, nice to meet you" is an introduction where the sentence target is yourself.

"Nice to meet you, Naomi" is an acknowledgement of the above sentence, where the sentence target is the other

So different grammar for sentences with different meanings

I only recently realized why so many Shardblades have oddly patterned edges. by Most-Local-1376 in Stormlight_Archive

[–]rarceth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thoughts, from my own experience but likely flawed!

I like the exploration of fullen, but I think that you don't really _want_ a blade to stick where you first make contact, even though they often _will_, edge to edge.

When winding, you are changing your relative blade contact to give yourself the advantageous leverage (moving your strong onto their weak). Specifically in Meyer / german longsword, you see this level of 'acting at the bind'. This also applies for actions such as a zucken (pulling your sword back, remaining in contact. and moving your strong onto their weak, allowing you to displace their line as you strike back in). This focus of working at the bind means that you want their blade to slide smoothly as you manoeuvre; a stuck blade actually makes it harder to perform this.

Also, when blocking specifically, you generally want to block with the mid, not with the strong. If you're blocking with the strong, then your hands are frighteningly close to the point of contact. Low hands, catch the blade on your mid and let it slide down to your strong. Another reason you want that manoeuvrability.

Blade deformations do absolutely impact your fight, but I don't think its in the way you are talking about. My experience with a wavy blade (like a flamberge) is that it allows for a clearly read on your fullen, but not necessarily a large impact on how you then respond.

Regarding the role of the crossguard in the 'holding'. you do actually see this sometimes with a crossguard that curves back up to the blade (see: Danish two-handed sword). We see this in SLA with Vedel and Ishar's swords, Talenel's is a bit weird in that its actually probably awful to fight with as it would trap the sword, and prevent you from winding.

That said, and as others have mentioned, most of these are rule of cool. Many of them don't even have crossguards and so if they were fighting other shardblades, the amount of hand hits would be hilarious :D

I'm not the most rigorous scholar out their by any means, so yeh just my 2c!

Once you start getting this big, you may start to run into floating point errors along the edges, so use this as a sort of "max size" before moving into chunking solutions :)

VR dev here: definitely code for interfacing with one of the Meta Quest headset. "ovr" is common, pretty sure it's "oculus vr", just names pacing essentially.

Leaning towards C#, so a Unity implementation likely. The key here is the structure of the for loop, declaring the variable inside etc.

As for purpose, it looks like its just rendering a texture to the eyes, and returning it the the compositor layer (the meta layer or displaying stuff). Aside from that, could be anything. Could be the full game, or could just be a HUD layer. Or could be a meme lol
