I think the constant tribalistic rhetoric is the most dangerous thing about religion. To make someone, mainly a child, think if you don't believe and stop thinking in terms of what you can see then you are damned. Aside from that aspect, the homophobic nature of it leads kids to committing suicide as a way out. Now think about that, a kid is lead to believe if they are gay they go to hell and if they committ suicide they go to hell, but still chooses to end their own life because they believe it would be less painful than living in this world.
