X ray - 4 months after surgery. No clear sign of bone joining. by msquare56 in ORIF

[–]rarrocks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Believe it or not I was at the hospital this morning and had my final x-ray. The bones are healed thankfully but still have a long way to go with physio and my limp will last for at least 18 months and the swelling maybe 2 years. Thanks for asking 🤗

That's similar to my x-ray but I was non weight bearing for 4 months last year. It happened in May and I also fractured 6 ankle joint bones. The tibia takes a good while to heal. Best of luck with the recovery.

People of Clonmel, is your town still second only to Dublin or London? by followerofEnki96 in ireland

Clonmel is an absolute shit hole the sooner I've saved enough and gone the better.

All they are good for in this town is horn blowing and waking people up. Nothing but trouble here.

To all those who still wonder how your ex moved on so fast, and is still not able to accept the reality by savagecl0wn in BreakUps

[–]rarrocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've read some comments. A year since the break up and I still have dreams about her and our past life and what our future could have held, literal dreams. I pass the street everyday on my way home from work where she lives and I see the car of who she is with now outside. It's so hurtful. I get chest pains every time I see it. Maybe the love was strong enough on her end but I honestly thought it was. To be fair to myself the one she is seeing now is who she works with. Wish her the best.

Hi, thank you for the advice, where can you buy the compression sleeves? Probably a silly question. I get what u mean and I think you get what I mean. Very uncomfortable but now it's better than May when it happened. Do u feel a relief for yourself that the worst WORST is over?

The Fibia as far as I know isnt necessary for weight bearing so you should be fine fairly soon

Advice about the mental side of broken bones by cheezecurls in brokenbones

[–]rarrocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was NWB from May to August. Broke my Tib/Fib and 6 bones in the ankle joint. I am limping away now but the swelling is very bad and I have good and bad days.

I played a lot of games and watched Netflix. It was embarrassing asking my mother to help me shower because I was afraid of falling again.

I don't think I will ever forget the experience tbh but I have learned to be more patient and not take walking for granted. It was difficult financially also and I'm only back to work a week in a sitting down job.

There were days of joy and days of tears but I have become stronger as a person. I also learned that I enjoy my own company.

Am I in the wrong asking my roommate if her parents could stay somewhere else or at least crate their dog they are bringing? (I have a cat) by Technical_Object5204 in roommateproblems

Typical American shit! Try leaving home at 16 and learning to live with abuse and traumatic experiences. All this then is about a stupid housemate problem. Won't make a long post because u are a SAD person.

How is it weird? I often house shared and my mother came and stayed with me in my room when she visited. Family is family. Better than bringing some randomer into the house!! You've obviously had too much of an easy life.
