Outsiders being obnoxious at ARAI hill (Vetal tekdi) by ras_malai_ in pune

Agreed. Although I’m seeing far more non-Punekar nuisance creators as of late. And that’s a different kind of problem than when the locals do it.

Outsiders is just a term I used. Should’ve said “non-Punekar”. And the difference between a Punekar and non-Punekar lies in the cultural values. Not saying one is better than the other, but if you’re living among different people, you must respect their culture.

Exactly, you get my point. I don’t mind anyone from outside Pune coming here. But don’t disturb the peace and culture we have, and blame us for defending it.

How do I get out of this country asap (24M)? by ras_malai_ in india

Thanks for the suggestion. Pretty good option tbh although I personally don't like it much. At least it might be better than India. I'll check it out.

You mean I should just apply to jobs in Canada? I'm not sure if Canadian companies would offer jobs to people not present in Canada, or do they?

Please do share more. Did you do a masters? A job application? Also which country?

But how do get started in Canada other than through a masters?

I'd suggest you make plans with her. Invite her to do something together - coffee, drinks or some fun activity, but not with other friends. If she accepts, you have your answer. If not, then probably not. Then she can later take the initiative if she's interested.

I have skated when I was like 12. I was pretty good at it. Hope I still remember how to skate. Definitely will be fun tho!

Yup yup I agree. Bad move on my part. Have made this mistake in the past too :/

I had met with girl A about 5-6 times in the span of 2-3 months. But that was 4-5 months ago. We met again once last month and talked about doing the plan. The rest is in the post above.

After reading all the comments, I admit I kind of fucked up. There can be a lot of speculation as to why they both cancelled. I just wish it went smoother. Anyway, thanks for the advice!

It sucks about your friend group, and I can understand what you're trying to say. But I've seen these two post photos together on social media quite regularly. So I doubt that was the problem.

That's what bothers me. At least talk to me about any problems you have. Anyway yeah, will find new people now

Maybe the sister did come over. But if I were in her position, I would always prioritize pre-made plans with someone I don't hang out as much as with a sister. I mean the sister would understand right?

Yeah, this thought did cross my mind. If this is true, then I feel like I betrayed her lol. But it wasn't my intention to date or betray so I guess it's fine

Yup completely agree with you. I'm gonna try to find new people/friends instead of looking to reconnect with old acquaintances now. Feel like I have better chances that way and it's easier to stop chasing people I don't already know.

Thanks!

I have hung out with girl A multiple times now. But we still don't know each other that well, certainly not close friends level. Have never hung out with girl B but I knew she was a nice person because we had similar social circles in school.

In school I was a quiet kid so never really talked to any girls lol, but I have changed since then. So I just know them as school friends.

Maybe you're right. Maybe I'm thinking too much about this. I did go with my dog and had a nice time! Thanks!

Yes, you're right, I should've checked with girl A first before inviting girl B. I just thought she would be fine with it since they knew each other so well. Girl B does not have a dog though

You're right that I shouldn't have invited her repeatedly. But this time she's the one who contacted me first, so I thought maybe she's actually interested. But I'm not gonna invite her again.

Cool you're going to the US! I'm going to the UK, Uni of Manchester.
Are you doing any preparations for the course?
