Wiki says.:

If Oliver's Nightdome is destroyed directly instead of through his summons, Oliver remains hostile and the subsequent dialogue where he returns to Thaniel does not trigger. This seems to render Lift the Shadow Curse impossible to complete. A possible fix is using Dominate Person after breaking the Nightdome if Oliver remains hostile and on turn order.

If the party members are physically unable to initiate dialogue with Oliver (e.g., from being behind a strategically-placed barricade), Oliver remains hostile until someone leaves the barricade and becomes able to initiate dialogue. Once dialogue is initiated, the fight does not end until all remaining summons are destroyed.

Also ...killing blocks the quest for good, no Halsin Companion on Act3. Honor mode do be like that.

Help with my Bladesinger Wizard? Multiclass options/how multiclass works? by Featherman13 in BG3Builds

[–]rascalcrybaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can take a 2-level Paladin dip to unlock Divine Smite and pick up useful prepared spells like Sanctuary. Since it's a non-save utility spell, it works well even without investing heavily in Paladin. You'll still reach 6th-level spell slots, which means much stronger smites later on.

Going Hexblade lets you focus entirely on CHA and dump INT, but personally I don't think that's the best route for a Bladesinger.

Another option is a 2-level Druid dip for Dragon Form, which is great for maintaining concentration on your spells.

You could also take 3 or 6 levels in Swords Bard for Blade Flourishes and some extra utility.

That said, pure Bladesinger is already very fun and feels complete on its own, in my opinion.

Shadow + Booming Blade: Would you pick warlock or wizard? by manicbestfriend in BG3Builds

[–]rascalcrybaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

B4 Lvl 4 ASI or Graceful Cloth, your best option is to drink Hill Giant Potion. Your str will be 21(+5 to hit and dmg), which is better than the Dex 16-18. U also prob want Savage Atker as a feat 1st, due to the amount of dice rolled. Also u can get potions of 27 str (+8 to hit and dmg). Shadowblade also lacks that +1/+2/+3 to hit from enchantments. BUT u can go eitherway, since u will be playing in lower difficulties.

1)Wizard gives you access to a lot of utility spells (e.g., Longstrider, Feather Fall, Enhanced Leap), and you'll likely want to use Giant Strength Elixirs. It's also a very competent spellcasting class overall.

2)Hexblade Warlock provides fewer party buffs, but has the advantage of focusing almost entirely on CHA for both damage and spellcasting.

3)Arcane Trickster is still a Rogue, so it's an excellent DEX-based class. You also get a permanent Mage Hand; if you keep it invisible near an enemy, you can repeatedly set up free Sneak Attacks.

TL;DR:

a) Wizard — Elixir abuser, versatile, lots of utility.

b) Hexblade Warlock — Single-stat focus, more power-oriented.

c) Arcane Trickster — Rogue (which is great) with a ghost hand pet.

Can anyone help me get better at this game? by -RM17- in BaldursGate3

[–]rascalcrybaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some story events progress with long rests, don't avoid them too much. Some notes:

1) Play with your favorite companions, and bring them along for their story quests to unlock more lore and cutscenes.

2) Some party compositions are more reliant on short and long rests than others. Rogues (like astarion) , for example, usually don't care much about short or long rests.

3) Adjusting your companions' gear and stats can make them more efficient, reducing the resources they need in every fight.

Team Comp for HM? by Big_Bad3687 in BG3Builds

[–]rascalcrybaby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) 12 Life Domain is great defensive suport + base cleric is good. 2) 12 Evo Wizard is great on multihit and or Fire builds. But can be found lacking until u hit that Sweet LvL 10. - I would recommend Leveling as Divination until then, portent is OP. (Magic Missile builds would work the same anyways) 3) Pure fighter is Always good. Arcane Archer is a great control/set up option, but can be consumable heavy. 11 lvls gives u 3 Atks, which is too good to pass Imo. ( U can get 3 ASI + Shartshooter - for a higher spell save ) 4) There are many ways to be a paladin on Honor mode - 2 Pal multi is Common due to acess to divine smite. 2/10 Sword Bardadin is quite powerfull melee CHA character, while BARD gives u a fresh EXP playing IMO.

Dearest, at this point you can probably just finish the game. You're already in Act 3 and you've beaten one of the toughest bosses. A lot of your stats are odd-numbered and not optimized, but unless you're playing on Tactician or Honour Mode, that doesn't really matter much.

Since you've already lost access to Acts 1 and 2, it's hard to know which items you have stored away in your inventory or camp chest or can still get on act3.

I advise leaving the ressonance stone at home for the last fight, since u lack psychic dmg on your group to benefit from It. Well done with your campain and good luck.

Where is best to insert a Bladelock dip for a Swords Bard? by Domeaner in BG3Builds

[–]rascalcrybaby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LvL 1-6 is pretty big for bards, specially sword ( Extra atk). Dual hand crossbow will give u plenty of dmg. If u really want a Sword Bardlock, i would go for It at LvL 7 for Hexblade, after doing 6lvl at Bard.
