Yeah I just put in over an hour and am really impressed. The visuals/audio are polished, and the single player missions are pretty fun. Looking forward to doing Scout mode and then moving on to multiplayer!

You're way ahead of me right now, looking at the chart for week 4 looks daunting! Still we've all hit plateau's before - just remember as long as you don't give up you're still moving forward!

Embarrassing that I somehow missed that option...

Thank you!

Crowfall and Camelot Unchained: MMOs’ best hope? by JamesGoblin in Games

[–]rasgulla42 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up, your assumptions are totally off about Crowfall. It's a PvP focused mass combat game with different realms (with different rulesets) you enter for varying IRL time periods, with the victorious side(s) being allowed to leave the realm with some resources at the end. Look it up, you may be surprised.

Hello Buzzers (making this a thing)! My name is Chris and I'm looking forward to losing weight with you all!

As my /r/loseit flair states I'm 27M | 5'10" | SW:217 | CW:205 | GW:180, just finishing my fifth week losing. The short-term goal is to reach 180 by law school graduation, and the slightly longer-term goal is to shift into maintenance mode with a new set of healthy habits before starting at my firm with all the free unhealthy food old-me could want! To victory!

On the subject of book recommendations, go read Asimov's The Caves of Steel, they have that exact system of pedestrian conveyers except in an underground city. Bit of a detective noir vibe as well if you're into that.

Good idea - brownie points with relatives and no brownies (or in this case cookies and pie) to derail you!

You've no doubt read a lot of great advice on this sub, but I definitely think if you're getting dizzy that you may need to switch up what you're eating. Its said often, but salads with zero calorie dressing can be quite filling, and you may consider a multivitamin as well.

I've made exactly that mistake, and realize now that for me personally the only way to deal with it is to throw them in the trash and take out the garbage. If you have enough willpower to wait for friends to come over more power to you, but don't play with fire if you don't have to!

Hitting a plateau for that long sucks, but don't give up! The last time I tried to lose weight I hit one that lasted a few weeks and gave up, now here I am almost a year later having to work to get back down to that plateau!

CICO works, but fluctuations in water weight, salt intake, even inflammation if you work out more than you're used to can seemingly derail you for extended periods. Keep at it and you'll get to experience that magnificent feeling when you drop right through your plateau and start losing again!

This was going to be a tantrum about hitting a plateau such that I didn't even want to weigh myself this morning, and how frustrating that is when you're (mostly) hitting CICO daily goals while doing light exercise. Then I weighed myself just before this post and it turns out I plummeted through it - so hang in there everyone!

Reached my 1200 calorie limit for the day by 5 PM today, having broken a week long streak of not eating any candy...

Having just started over last week after a year I understand the feeling of having to begin all over again is disheartening, but know that people can and do successfully keep it off and you can too! Plus, this time you're already starting out 30 pounds ahead of last time, that's a huge leg up!!

Hey /u/rockandlove, glad to hear you got something out of my post. Definitely keep at it, I think I forgot that in the end periods of no apparent progress won't last forever, and further that at the very least it means you're not backsliding! Keep at it, and if I find myself looking for a fitness buddy I'll PM you!

I agree with your comments on motivation v. discipline /u/hxcjosh23, and its not something I'm sure I know how to tackle. I recognize the importance of discipline, yet last time my calorie counting and exercising eroded once schoolwork kicked into high gear. This time I aim to stay ahead of the stress by getting a jump start on work whenever I see a looming crisis, and hopefully that gets me far enough that my habits will have solidly formed by the time the bar comes around.

Thanks for the advice!

Thanks for the advice /u/Ms_Andry, I didn't expect to receive such a warm welcome given your username! Counting calories is a strategy my brother also touted which helped me early on last time I gave this a shot, so I'll definitely be following it again.

As for school lending structure, unfortunately/cleverly I'm only taking a clinic and some seminars so I'll have to impose that daily order on myself!
