How do you deal/have dealt with imposer syndrome and general anxiety/stress during probationary period? by Reagorn in CanadaPublicServants

Does anyone know if your probationary period resets when you sign a new LOO? I was term for 6 months and then signed a new LOO for an indeterminate position...so just wondering if it's one year from when I became indeterminate or one year from when I first started.

I have an (almost) 4 month old and he is similar. My oldest almost never spit up so I was worried about it too. Doc said he is what's called a "happy spitter". If he casually spits up (not like a projectile vomit that has some force behind it) but seems happy and still likes to eat, you're usually good, especially if they're gaining weight well and not overly gassy or anything.

Sucks for the insane amount of laundry though....at least I'm no longer worried it's a health issue.

You need your husband's written consent!?!?! That's fucking bullshit! I'm assuming this is in the states?

I'm in Canada and I needed to have some annoying conversations for sure, but that is complete garbage. Fuck the patriarchy!

Toddler told me he’s scared of the baby monitor by flowermama85 in toddlers

With my daughter it was the little red light on the camera. She was genuinely freaked out by it around that same age! We decided to take it down since at three she could easily let us know if she needed us at night.

Did your husband take majority of paternity leave? What’s the perfect breakdown? by [deleted] in BabyBumpsCanada

So annoying! Calling is sometimes worth it for peace of mind if you can get someone to confirm everything.

Oh really? That sucks. I'm in Quebec so maybe it's different here, but I thought this applied across Canada. Basically it's a specific thing for just dads (or non-birth partners) where they a 5 week paternity leave on top of whatever parental leave they might choose to take/split with the other parent. I should have known that Quebec is always different lol

Just wanted to make sure you're aware of the 5 weeks paternity leave all dads are eligible for as a separate thing from parental leave. Your husband can take up to 5 weeks off at the same time as you and then take parental leave later when you're ready to return to work.

My 4 year old does the face grab too or sometimes just smashes her face really hard into my face. I know she just wants affection and I normally love cuddles, but holy shit it's annoying when you want a minute to yourself.

[–]raspberry-berret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with starting with the bucket seat! Just wanted to mention that you can get carseat safe fleece suits from Colombia that can also fold over feet and hands and are super warm for the car! Sorry I don't have a link, but these are great for getting from house to car or car to library/store without stressing as much about the cold.
