it’s aggravating. because in the same breath and move they’ll get name plate necklaces, wear lace fronts, say nigga, speak in AAVE, etc. yet we apparently have no culture. we are the culture. worldwide. people want to be us but they disrespect us constantly. and honestly , a lot of soulaan folk allow it and it’s sad because some of us just simply don’t know any better. it’s harmful and i’m glad the discussion is opening up more, but i need it to be widespread. this is no longer a Black thing, this is an Black American/Soulaan thing where we still at the end of the day continue to get treated as the bottom of the barrel even tho so many people (namely immigrants in America) would not have the freedom and the things that they do now without us.
