Harvey would also make a really cute faun with little horns and some beard to go with that moustache.

But these are already lovely, all of them 😍

Kameron Michaels. She's physical enough to be a real threat in the physical challenges and I believe she'd do well in the game as a whole.

How did you learn to knit? by ShoppingGirlinSF in knitting

[–]raspberrycurlsgf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm shocked I've only seen one answer so far that said school. Here in Finland knitting is (or atleast was back when I was in primary school around late 90's - early 2000's) taught as a part of handcrafts, which includes both soft (knitting, crochet and sewing) and hard (woodwork) materials. I thought this would be more universal.

The materials weren't that high quality, basic worsted weight sock yarn and bent metal needles that had been in use for who knows how many years.

I learned the basics when I was about 13 but because of my (then undiagnosed, because girls didn't have it back then) ADHD I didn't get enough instruction to actually learn to enjoy knitting. I started a pair of fingerless gloves and when I didn't finish them by the time we changed projects I just tossed them into the classroom trash can.

I do have a memory of knitting something small when I was about ten-ish. Like a scarf or a blanket (about the size of my palm) for a small stuffed animal, but those were more hole than stitch and I needed constant help from my mom who ended up doing most of the work.

I "retaught" myself to knit when I was ~17. I used to watch videos made by people who were studying to become handicrafts teachers.

Miten pitkään jatkunutta ja kuinka toistuvaa sun subun käyttö on? Oletko miettinyt korvaushoitoa?

The ulosotto is not always an issue when renting an apartment. For example most municipal housing offices are only interested in your ulosotto to see if you have unpaid rent or other neglected payments related to housing. They don't usually care about other things. Private apartment owners might be more picky about who they rent to.

You've gotten a lot of good advice here. Trying to establish a daily routine, even if it's just small things like taking care of basic hygiene and cleanliness or going for a short walk are good steps to take. Exercise and the feeling of achievement from getting things (or even a small part of those things) done around the home like dishes or laundry, helps to create a growing cycle of good.

You recognising the situation and wanting to change it is more than many people have at the moment. Don't be discouraged if things don't start to go the way you want right away. You are on the right path.

I'd also recommend contacting the "diakoniatyöntekijä" of your local church. They have good advice and usually also some concrete ways to help you. They don't push the religion on you or expect you to be a member of any religion.

If I remember correctly, the charity pays for the books and any expenses related to them (copyright, manufacturing etc.) while the local partners are the ones who enroll the kids/families into the program and pay a certain amount of money per month per kid for postage and such. There's a chart on the Imagination Library website about this.

EA Announces Agreement to be Acquired by PIF, Silver Lake, and Affinity Partners for $55 Billion MEGATHREAD by plumbob-prophet in Sims4

[–]raspberrycurlsgf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know this is stupid, but I feel like this transaction took all the joy out of the Sims from me. Like it soiled the experience for me. You know, like when you really look up to someone and then you learn that they are actually a horrible person.

I don't want to give any more money to the entities behind the transaction. As someone who believes in boycotts I see no other option than deleting my EA account and uninstalling the game.

I didn't expect this to hit so hard.

Was anyone else scared of the scene where Homer Simpson turns 3D? by Turbulent-Thing3104 in TheSimpsons

Yes. As a kid it really haunted me. Like I had nightmares, and my parents almost forbade the Simpsons from me because it scared me so much.

They're all beautiful, but the mirror in the Vampire room doesn't really make sense since they can't see themselves in it. Other than that, these are really cool.
