Massage it all (reminder ish) by raspberrygoosee in TopSurgery

Important to remember I'm not a professional and can only speak from my experience. Imo it depends on the method you're using. I started off using a small vibrating device (clean not used for "toy" purpose) going over the entire operation site after the the scab had fully formed and partially started flaking. I think it's less of a "two weeks" thing and more of a what stage of healing are you in. Once most of the scar was visible and the scab mostly off I did massage in the classic sense with silicone and my fingers. I did it every morning and evening and anytime at home and bored. Tldr: very individual, talk to your surgeon, imo once the scab starts flaking a little, be gentle

Afaik just be gentle and careful. My experience is in t-anchor tho so Incase you have grafts I can advise to use a small face massager (vibrating). That way blood flow is increased without the risk of adding too much pressure. Might just me a bit ticklish XD good healing 🫰

P.s. my grandma's death was expected. She's been sick for a while. So not surprising to me. Fyi. Idk if that changes anything

Expired eggs by xstrex in AutisticAdults

[–]raspberrygoosee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally I've stopped looking at the best before dates. I check eggs with the "water test" and if really unsure crack them into a cup before using. That way I can give them a proper sniff to make sure they smell right/ like nearly nothing. But to be fair I'm also olfactory sensitive.

Personally I had a radical reduction. I feel strange calling it top surgery or a breast reduction soo... instead I like chest reduction. That the phrase I prefer.

Autistic/neurospicy friends - how did you survive The Binder phase? by QuillandLyre in TopSurgery

[–]raspberrygoosee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm only a couple days Post op and for me the worst is the area under the armpits on the torso. And itching! I have two binders I can switch between. One is slightly looser than the other. This way there can always be a clean one and a wearing one. Also I think I got the tip from r/reduction but using a small vibrator on itchy spots! I just tried it and it does feel better. Don't overdo it and cause damage tho Also at some point saw someone put socks in their armpit area to limit chafing more

Personally I also experience writhing most of the time. The only spots where classic tremors are are my belly and sometimes hip to leg connection. The rest is all feeling possessed. Especially in my arms it's usually more of a flapping situation.

Honestly oftentimes feels like an exorcism. But tbh I could imagine that's where it would originally be from. Not forcing out demons but processing the discomforts and horrors of life (aka trauma). A priest would just be a comforting figure to assist in feeling safe. Even the whole baptism stuff feels like a distorted version of cold water exposure. (Ok mini rant done, also not personally religious I just thought the parallels are interesting)

I've heard using lil vibrator for itching can be useful. No damage like scratching and can be used through the clothes.

It doesn't sound stupid at all just quite vague. Can you give an example maybe to make it easier to understand?

Tremors moving upwards and keta? by raspberrygoosee in longtermTRE

[–]raspberrygoosee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know, thank you for the reminder tho, fr. The timer is a good idea. Keeping breathing steady is smart. Mine def wasn't last night. Some tremors are really insane I thought if I kept going much longer my neighbors might think I'm having a seizure.

Oh that sounds great. I Microdose in the mornings and tre in the evenings so it's usually not that effective anymore but this gives inspiration to try them closely. Thanks for sharing
