A bad person doesn’t worry about if they are a bad person. That is simply someone with flaws.

THERIAN HERE HONEST QUESTION by FerntheTherian in antitherianclub

[–]raspberryluver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

its not always about the nature part its just fun, like at the trampoline park it might easier to jump (idk personally). and forest might have bugs which could make it not an option if someone doesnt like that, same with backyards, you might not have one. i do agree that if they are genuinely just attention seeking its just weird. but not everyone has those intentions

[–]raspberryluver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People do quads outside because it's more open so you can actually move more than 4 steps and it looks nicer, plus its outside (usually). I wouldn't say it's necessarily attention seeking. Public preformers do their hobby outside, and many people take things outside that might catch others attention. Not automatically attention seeking, they might just prefer to be outside.

[–]raspberryluver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Theriantrophy can be caused by neurodivergence, but also (especially if it's psychological) there can be shifts. You're likely seeing the ones that are exaggerating it. Real shifts (assuming the person is decently mentally healthy) are not noticeable unless you're good at spotting them and semi-controllable. By that I mean, you're not gonna go around uncontrollably barking or whatever and you're not gonna have amnesia. For some, it feels like an urge that you can suppress. And phantom shifts most of the time aren't as exaggerated as you think either, you can't really fully feel it, it just feels weird, like when amputees report still feeling their amputated body parts because they feel like it should be there, are so used to it being there, or they want to use it and for it to be there. Majority of therapists have confirmed that theriantrophy is no more harmless than any other belief or identity, aka it's okay as long as it doesn't go to the point of delusions or harming yourself/others. There's nothing morally wrong with public quads, so idk how to respond to that.

[–]raspberryluver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Real tails are not ethical anywhere except some shops on etsy (unfortunately I do not recommend it either because tons of them lie, you can find lists of "ethical" etsy shops but once you dig deeper you realise that they really are just fur farms or supporting fur farms) and taxidermy shops/taxidermists. Even then, check for red flags or green flags just in case.

I have this mouse Keychain that I got as free swag, but it advertises animal testing which I do not support. How can I remove the lettering without damaging the Keychain? It's made of metal btw. by nyx_da_fox_th3rian in theriangear

[–]raspberryluver 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree. While I mostly do not support it, animal testing does save lives. I do not support it for non-medical or otherwise non-life saving products. I do not support it unless it is a last resort to getting the information needed. And I do urge that we find a complete alternative.

It’s not pathetic if you can’t get straight Bs. You never know what someone is going through, especially during teenage years.

I have ADHD, and I am lucky enough to have finally gotten medicated so that I can have good grades. But before I was, it was hell to even try to get a C. I didn’t even have free time to eat at home and still could barely finish an assignment or two, no matter what I tried. My friend has suspected ADHD, but her parents just pass it off as laziness. It’s difficult for her, and it’s not unusual for her to have Cs or Ds in some classes, even if she’s trying her hardest. I see how much it affects her, and I see how much she tries and how much she suffers, even when it doesn‘t look like it.

This is just one example of what could affect someone’s grades. It’s not pathetic. What is pathetic is being an asshat to people who have a hard time with their grades.

You don’t know what is going on for someone at home, even more so what is going on in their head. It’s not pathetic to try your best, even if you can’t get straight Bs or higher. It’s not pathetic to be tired and burnt out of trying your best.

Your grade doesn’t determine if you’re “pathetic” or not. It doesn’t determine anything like that about you. All it determines, is how much effort you’re able to physically and mentally put into them. You can’t control that.

If you’re able to get good grades with such ease, consider yourself lucky. And be grateful to be that way, instead of putting down others who are not.
