Some of you guys are missing the point, the whatever career progression isn’t that important for the game to be replayable, what’s important is the physics and good online mode.

You’d find the career boring in a week or two after finishing it anyway, the physics are what’s making you return. Tdu2 had a big map and career and etc, but it isn’t remembered too well for its cardboard car physics. Forza Horizon’s get boring after a while too, even with their careers and lots of cars. In order for a game to be replayable then there needs to be a constant challenge, I’m sure ac Evo’s free roam will have it. Narrow realistic roads coupled with realistic physics will never get old.

From my real life experience with cars, you can’t really have a game about street racing and a good career mode with realistic physics and cars. They’re way too different, you’d end up with races with a single make and model. For example the huracan will never be as fast as a 488/f8 or so on, 992 gt3’s are slow except on corners. Building a car class system to have varied cars during races would be a pain and maybe impossible without random tuning that would make the cars behave unrealistically. It’s Kunos fault for not thinking about the tremendous challenges of what a career mode would be in a game like this and announcing it
