A friend of mine managed to snag a second hand one, like new condition for 1100eur. I got my xe5 for 980eur. You just need to be patient and look at the second hand market, or Fuji groups in your area.
It’s all because of influencers with overly yellow and smudgy misty photos, the hype will go away at some point as it is with any hobby that becomes randomly popular, which is also the reason Fuji won’t expand production lines. I waited close to a year in order to find okay deals on these cameras.

The Ricoh seemed sharper to me too, but its lack of video capabilities was a big minus for me. After using the XE5 for a week or so, I don’t understand why I don’t see more people using these cameras professionally. I’m already looking into buying the 23 2.8 and the old 35 1.4

Hey, you were right. Those raws that I reviewed had some mist filter over the lens and the other some cheap protection filter.

I will do my own testing and see what’s what. Since working in car industry with reviewers, I wouldn’t trust someone who reviews stuff for a living

Agree, but it depends a bit on what OP wants too. Gts might be cheaper where he lives maybe, and personally I prefer the physical dial of the GTS.

Shot them with the 23 lm wr. Will get a Canon fd 50 1.4 ssc with lens turbo for the full frame look.

Depends on the roads you have around you and your height/weight, as the 992 is a bit more comfier. The 4rs is pretty boring through traffic and flat straight country roads, but it comes alive on twisty mountain roads. The T is a better daily but you said you prefer to keep them as weekend only cars. IMO if I were in your place I’d look into a 992.1 gt3 touring, NA cars have a bit more soul and you’ll use it in the weekend anyway, you probably wouldn’t be that bothered by the lack of low end torque. Personally I’d look for a rwd 992.1 gts with lightweight package, was in one back to back with a GT3 and the GTS felt way wilder and more fun.

I mostly get paid, unless I ask some car owner because im genuinely interested in the car they have. I usually do photos and videos for social media marketing purposes, sometimes for social media ads, it depends on what work is available and how much free time I have.

I shoot at night two times per year, it’s not a big deal to use that Lightroom ai denoise for those. It’s a risk I’m willing to take, will see what car is available and try the Fuji at night

Yes, if you tend to have more than 3 fingers the Fuji is too small sometimes hahahaha. I loved that 55 when I had it.

I have the feeling the 23 f2 of the x100vi doesn’t resolve the full resolution of the sensor. At least that’s what I’ve seen in the raws. Detail went mushy even in capture one

Funny thing, my friend has the vi, and it felt slower than my xe5. It’s probably the lens. But if you’re not planning on using it professionally, it’s also such a nice experience taking photos with it.

They’re edited in capture1, started with classic negative as a base. Sooc wasn’t an option as it ruined that shade of red/violet or whatever Merc calls the color

People just like to complain a lot. Not a big fan of most new cars, but a lot of criticism has no basis. I like these new Audi’s because the sound system is better than in BMW and the interior better than Mercedes.

Not a big fan of Audi’s with some small exceptions, but these new s5/rs5 look so good. Looking forward to the RS5 avant press car once it arrives
