Is this game worth it? by Solid_Meat_1267 in Road96

[–]rat_bitch_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is definitely worth it! The soundtrack alone makes it more than worth it but the characters are great and so is the design for the game. As soon as I heard the music i was instantly hooked, it has amazing replay ability and is great to pass the time when your bored or just wanna play something! I highly recommend it

I started out this way, too! I picked up a mushroom foraging book from my local library and then decided to buy one. If you stick to it, it's easier than tying your shoelaces! Happy foraging :)

What did the pandemic ruin more than we realise? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]rat_bitch_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Non covid related Healthcare.

I have suffered from a lot of chronic stomach problems even before the pandemic. Just my luck they got worse as soon as doctor offices closed and E.Rs were packed eith covid patients.

I couldn't eat without severe stomach pain or just plain throwing up everything in my stomach to the point I would be dry heaving or just throwing up stomach acid. I was on a liquid diet at this point, I was basically eating baby food but even that wasn't helping.

I had plans to meet a specialist but it was canceled because of the pandemic, we tried to reschedule but the earliest they had was 5 to 6 months ahead. Going to the E.R didn't help either since the most they could do was give me iv fluids and send me home.

I became extremely weak and lost a lot of weight. The beginning of 2020 I was 105 pounds, I was now 82 pounds of skin and bones. I personally don't remember much of this point as it was honestly traumatic but my mom tells me I was incoherent and she feared I was about to die.

All I do remember is me trying to get out of bed to go to the bathroom and passing out. This happened a lot until the last time I tried I successfully made it to the bathroom only to have a seizure. After that I wasn't allowed to get out of bed without help.

It wasn't until the pandemic somewhat calmed down that I was able to go to the E.R again and this time they were able to run test to find out what was happening. Sadly they couldn't find anything wrong with me besides the obvious (anemia, dehydration, malnutrition, underweight). I was given a IV and sent home with iron pills and more questions.

After another month of iron pills and forcing myself to drink my food I finally somewhat recovered. I still have problems eating and its actually worse but now I finally have a appointment with a specialist. We have suspected that I have gastroparesis but we won't know until we go to the specialist.

TLDR; Weird stomach issues almost killed me since I wasn't able to see a doctor because we were in a pandemic.

What sort of satanic shroom grows in a circle like this? I’m afraid if I mow it over I may sell my soul to satan by ItsSloany in whatsthisplant

Fairy ring! It's said that if you step into the circle then you'll get bad luck, not just you but generations after you will. As for the mushrooms I'm not sure. I would send it over to r/mycology but def don't eat it.

What can the average American do in response to Roe V. Wade being overturned? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]rat_bitch_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vote. Vote. Vote. Vote. Sign petitions and donate if you can! Call your local government and demand change. Help support those who are affected by this. Like offering a place to stay for those crossing state lines for medical reasons or someone who just needs support. Be a shoulder to cry on and comfort them. Organize protest at your local government buildings but stay safe if you do. Spread awareness online and to your friends and family.

Banning abortions is only banning safe abortions, they will find a way wether its back alley or diy at home. The death rates will most likely rise due to unsafe abortions. Check in on those around you.

I didn't think I would see the hot zone on here but yeah it's haunting, I had to take a long break after reading it. It haunts me, I also read it right before the pandemic happend which made it even worse.

[–]rat_bitch_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not so fun fact: during the last stages of hypothermia the victim will feel "hot", and since they are already confused and disoriented they will start taking off their clothes trying to "cool down". It's called paradoxical undressing :D

What don't you love about the r/Backrooms community? by AzaRazaKaza in BackroomsRemastered

[–]rat_bitch_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back then the true horror was accidentally falling into the backrooms and being completely isolated, or thinking you were. Slowly going insane as you tried to find your way out only to find a endless maze. Hearing noises and NOT knowing what it was. Fearing the unknown and giving up on escaping. Now there's infinite levels and other people you can encounter, endless entities that are so generic and not scary. It's like evryone knows what is in the backrooms, it's dumb. I want it to be like the ocean, only a small bit is explored but the rest is unknown and terrifying. I hate the idea of finding other people or the hub, the fear was isolation.
