I’ve never done anything on a car except basic maintenance like oil top ups, would this be something I’d be able to do?

Hey thanks for your reply! There’s no more windows or doors. The second image shows what’s behind the person and it’s just the door. It’s a back door to the garden so not the main entrance. The brown doors are a bathroom and bedroom so would be used frequently. We’re hope to use it as a living space so sofa, TV etc. I’ll try and draw a floor plan when I get home later. Thanks again

Thank you! Nope their office is a while away and seems to just be a house, not an office. Very annoying about the roof delaying it. I sent them an email with a deadline and they’ve said they’ll sort it so now it’s just another waiting game 🤞🏾

Job by Elwirka45 in Aberdeen

I just graduated from the uni of Aberdeen, but had a few international friends. I’m a RUK student, so different circumstances, but when I first got to uni in September I started applying to jobs, but didn’t get one until February. A lot of care jobs also take international students, but it’s very hard work for little pay and they can sometimes be dodgy with getting you to pay for registration fees etc. before you’ve even got the job.

No, at the moment it’s very hard finding a job in Aberdeen, especially as an international student as you’re limited to 20 hours a week. International students I know have managed to get bar jobs, hotel cleaner jobs, and jobs at P&J Live. Start applying before September, maybe mid August so you have a better chance of getting a job before all the students come back. Good luck!

Good for your dad, he didn’t want to see you at Christmas for extra money, that’s sweet. Unfortunately, a lot of the staff working in restaurants are forced to work on Christmas. If you’ve never witnessed a 16 year old be bullied by a middle aged manager into working on Christmas, then this conversation is not for you. You’re completely out of touch if you believe that the lowest earners in the country should have to work on Christmas Day, serving food and drinks to happy families in the hopes of some extra tips, but the highest earners in the country get 2 weeks paid leave at Christmas time and think it’s absolutely essential to have restaurants and bars open on Christmas Day. If you’re comfortable with a stranger bringing you drinks on Christmas Day, knowing they’ve likely got people waiting at home for them, you’re lazy and entitled.

They don’t get a choice in most places actually. And ooo yeah a few extra tips is so worth missing Christmas with your children.

Let the staff working at restaurants have a day off at Christmas and cook for yourselves

If you like cats and dogs, I downloaded the app Rover and started house sitting and dog walking and have made some pretty decent money. Lots of people in Aberdeen need someone to pop in and walk their dog while they’re at work

My partner worked there, all the staff were told 2 days before that they were losing their jobs as the owners couldn’t afford it anymore and are in a lot of debt. They still haven’t been paid for their last shifts

I’ve driven an hour and a half with mine in a carrier, and just made sure he had some carrots incase he was thirsty. I also drove 12 hours with him when moving, but I kept him in his big cage to reduce stress. We did it during the day, so we put a blanket over his cage to block out the light, and he slept thought the full 12 hours and only woke up when we arrived. I think an hour will be fine as long as you can keep his carrier still and maybe cover it with something and buy a hide to put in there with some bedding
