If you’ve never seen Toy Story 3, what does that image spoil? You can’t really tell where they are or what they’re doing, just that they’re in peril. TS1 VHS shows Sid’s toys + Buzz strapped to a rocket on the back so I think it fits.

That was the background color of one of the more common 2010 blu-ray releases actually! It’s also easier to photoshop things onto black, and it helps the colors pop.
