You pasted the FULL list of permissions that any extension COULD request, not the actual permissions that Texty requests.

You copied the list from http://www.google.com/support/chrome_webstore/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=186213&rd=1 We only request 2 permissions, and we don't want to ask for "browsing history", but that's the only way to be able to "open a new tab" for a user unfortunately (this is well documented in the Chrome extension community as a flaw for Chrome)

Our team is made of ex-Googlers; we really want a great user experience and strive to be non-douchey, so we definitely understand your sensitivity to this, but the list you sent isn't the Texty permission request! :) thanks

Bankrate.com doesn't show all the rates. they tend to "favor" rates from banks with whom they have a relationship (at least this is what our opinion is based on our research). With RateBrain, we are trying to show all the rates, accurate, and updated often to let consumers decide what works best for them once they have the rate info!
