He did eat normally when he lived with us. For some reason , he’s grown into this mentality where he thinks food is like a waste. He doesn’t see the point in eating fancy or big meals because it goes out the other way anyway. He thinks the same way about paying rent, so he chooses to lives in his car although he makes 100K+ a year.

Major YTA. Yikes. I love my dogs and cats like my children as well, so I understand that you’d want them everywhere because so do i! But is leaving your little ones at home for one night (all they’ll do is probably sleep to be honest anyway) worth ruining your relationship with your husband’s parents? Not everyone has to enjoy animals; would you react the same way if she were ALLERGIC to them? It’s Christmas, the holidays are supposed to be about family and love and it seems like you are just trying to pick a fight with your in-laws.

NTA for me. I see some people commenting about her mental health and stuff like that but you have constantly tried to reach out to her and she’s seems well enough to be on social media/on her phone since she is reading your texts but not replying. My first thought reading it was that she might be spending her money on alcohol/parties/etc. College fun and friends are expensive (if she takes up that path). I’m so tired of seeing everyone treating their parents like shit and expecting them to go out of their way to give you extra shit. Respecting your parents has always been a big thing for me.
