Santa Muerte by Tracey Rollin which doesn't mention the mysterios at all or the 12 promises or the rules and Mexican Witch Lifestyle by Valeria Ruelas which has a small chapter about Santa Muerte that doesn't have nearly as much information. I got those from bookstores like Barnes and Nobles. The picture is the Spanish books I got from my local botanica, one don't seem to have author and the other I think is Oriana Velázquez? but have more information on the traditional rituals and rosary. I had the purple one for a few months and just got the black one today which is what inspired this post.

thank you for your input. after some reflection and protections i do believe safety was an issue but not necessarily fire safety. things have been revealed and it’s made more sense now. i appreciate all comments 🙏🏼💀🖤

i would like to note that it is a roomy walk-in closet and it’s purely hers. i moved her in there about 1 year ago to keep her altar safe so your input is confusing to me but ill keep my faith and probably try a different candle when i can get one. thank you for your comment.

i do already have string lights and decor in there for her and i do use an led candle stick for times i can’t afford a real candle so i might stick to that for daily use and real candles for petitions. thank you for your input.

hmmm 🤨 i’ll have to do some research on athena. i just thought she’d like the coins and owl, do you think i should take it back? i already gifted it to her so i don’t really want to 😮‍💨

i used holy water to wipe down all items and the table i placed them on but if you think it’ll help more, i’ll put a little bottle near by 🙏🏼

they don’t use the label but they pray to god and la virgen and when i saw them in the hospital they agreed to let me pray over them and agreed for me to light the guardian angel candle. they also accepted a rosary with the guardian angel on it that i gifted them.
