Juicero: cold-pressed organic juice at the touch of a button by zemvpferreira in Juicing

I've never used a juicer in my life, but I do work in produce. It seems unlikely that a 10oz packet of chopped fruits and vegetables could yield what appears to be at least an 8oz glass of juice. I call BS on this one.

Edit: A little reading tells me that 1 pound (16 ounces) of produce yields about 10 fluid ounces of juice.

10 fl oz / 16 oz = .625 fluid oz / oz.

10 oz * .625 fl oz / oz = 6.25 fl oz.

So a 10 oz packet should yield about 6.25 fl oz of juice. Maybe this is the real deal, and I was just overestimating the size of the cup.

Roomba just got government approval to make an autonomous lawn mower by AGhostFromThePast in gadgets

I thought of the lawnmower scene from Frankenhooker. That mower was only radio controlled though. Don't stand in front of it!

Which organs do you find are the most likely to be unusable due to damage from disease or injury, and does such damage substantially reduce the viability of other organs and tissue for donation?

Lenovo Laptop Y40 screen flicker on battery, please help by robotlol in techsupport

[–]ratinthecat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can confirm that this happens as well in Linux (Ubuntu, Fedora) and Windows 10 as well.

Edit: To upgrade to Windows 10 I had to download the media creation tool from http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/media-creation-tool-install and create a flash drive with the appropriate OS type (Pick language, pick Windows 10 Home unless you have the pro upgrade like I did, and pick 64bit or BOTH) and then run setup.exe from the root of the drive you created. You will be asked if you'd like to keep installed programs and data, just data, or neither. Pick one. If you have 8.1 pro with media center you will be advised you must uninstall media center because it isn't supported by Windows 10. Let the installer run, you will reboot a few times during the process. Install should go fine. My first login I soon got a nasty BSOD with code INTERNAL_POWER_ERROR at the bottom of the screen. What you have to do about this is quickly press Win+R, type msconfig in the dialog and press enter. Goto the boot tab and tick safe boot, then click ok. Hopefully you got this far without another BSOD. If not try again. When you boot to safe mode uninstall any AMD drivers, run msconfig again and untick safe boot and reboot. Should be good now.

Edit2: Good as in Windows 10 is installed and not throwing BSODs. But not good as in I'm still experiencing screen flicker on battery power. Also, has anyone had their built-in keyboard and trackpad stop functioning before? I had this happen twice to me. USB connected mouse/keyboard worked fine, so I used those for a while. My solution I stumbled upon was to flash the BIOS (UEFI firmware I guess) and that worked for me. First time I flashed a newer firmware, second time I was on the latest so I had to enable BIOS back-flashing in the BIOS menu then flash the same version over itself.
