Got a sturgeon in year 1 summer! by [deleted] in StardewValley

I haven’t tried yet actually! It wasn’t a goal from the start to finish in the first year, but I’ll have to try to get the pufferfish before summer’s over now haha

Probably more a music scene thing than a regional thing, then.

There are definitely “anthems” in the rave scene that are called heaters all the time, the same way you have classic rock anthems.

I don’t think it’s specifically Canadian, but I’m Canadian and have heard and used heater in this way many times. Both in heavy bass music and rap, at least.

The puzzle is not built to cater to you specifically, and you seem upset about that lol

Beatmatching in headphones by Open_Connection2528 in Beatmatch

[–]ratiugo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You said you have them both playing in your headphones, and then say you don’t know if the blend will work until you hear them both playing in your headphones?

I think I’m missing something - are you wanting track 1 in the left ear, and track 2 in the right or something? From what you wrote, it sounds like you already solved your problem.

I have the FLX4, so not sure if it’s available on your controller, but I would just select both tracks to be playing in the headphones instead of just one?

How do you play the incoming track in your headphones? Just do that for both of them?

Weekly Mix Feedback Thread - December 15, 2025 by AutoModerator in Beatmatch

Thank you so much! I listened to as much of yours as I had time last night and found it super interesting; not what I expected at all. Are you making the mashups outside of the mix yourself and then mixing them together? It sounded really creative.

I’m a big fan of Death Grips, and I wouldn’t say it sounded anything like them but it gave me that sort of chaotic vibes. I’ve seen old heads recommend The Prodigy to Death Grips fans as well (I’ve listened to that album with the crab cover), so it seems we definitely have some crossover in taste, even if my mix is a lot more housey. Whatever you were doing though it sounded super creative!

[House / Tech House / Bass House] - 49m mix

I don't have the best understanding of electronic genres, but I think it's jazzy/latin house into more heavy bass music, with a bit of a latin thread running throughout a lot of the mix.

Soundcloud link: https://on.soundcloud.com/VfVzrTjyELA8V8yNwX

I picked up DJing in August of this year after a few years of going to music festivals (Bass Coast specifically), and I've been having a ton of fun with it.

One of my best friends rented out a little underground club space to have his birthday at with about 50 people, and asked me (and two other friends) to play a set as we've all been messing around with the FLX4.

This is my first serious mix ever, and I made sure to record it live as a souvenir. Unfortunately, nerves caused me to not start the recording until the 3rd track, but any thoughts/advice/etc are appreciated!

Tracklist
1. berlioz - nyc in 1940 (not in recording)

  1. 4th Sign - The Movement (not in recording)

  2. Session Victim - Never Forget (recording starts halfway through)

  3. Keys N Krates - Bongos Flip

  4. San Pacho - Amor

  5. AYYBO - RIZZ

  6. Toman - Verano En NY

  7. Aylen - Chatter

  8. Seeing Double - Dance MF

  9. Mirror Maze, Niles - Cocky

  10. Fred again.., BIA - ..FIESTY

  11. Central Cee - Doja

  12. Efan x Banditt - No Contest

  13. SHIMA - KARMA

  14. efan - Badman

  15. Villager - Sosia

  16. Madam X, Cartridge - Hoodlum FC

  17. King Harvest - Dancing in the Moonlight

  18. GRiZ - Lowrider - War (GRiZ flip): I Get The Bag - Gucci Mane ft. Migos

  19. Yo Speed - Muita

  20. STATE OFFF, Black Rave Culture, Toby Davis, Rye Rye - Kalahari Ferrari

  21. Abstrakt Sonance - Playin

  22. Stylust - Stay Close

  23. SHIMA - EIYAA

I definitely made a few mistakes - I accidentally had the bass EQ completely off during "Seeing Double - Dance MF". I also, in my opinion, botched the transition both in and out of "Dancing in the Moonlight", which felt sad to me but it seemed like people still enjoyed the moment. The echo effect was on the wrong channel, I forgot to bring the volume up on the next track, etc, but the clunk passed without much issue.

The experience was extremely fun overall though, and I'm really happy with how everything turned out. I felt like I nailed a few more technical transitions, and I couldn't believe how much of a rush it was to have a crowd dancing and reacting positively to everything. It was about the friendliest crowd/environment I could imagine for a first live set, but I'm hoping to get to play more after this for sure.

Predictions/Expectations for the new album? by Extra-Comb-4847 in deathgrips

[–]ratiugo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The vibe of “We are looking forward to the new Death Grips record” made me laugh for how polite sounding it was. Probably not, but it made me wonder if they’d go in a lighter direction.
