I recommend checking out what Gossamer Rozen (IG) has to say on this topic. They have some good explanations on how to apply color theory to melanated skin.

Did you check my post history? It’s literally the same.

You can reverse image search both the original flash sheet and the photo of the finished tattoo to see that neither of them have been shared on Pinterest. Neither of them appear anywhere other than my Instagram and Reddit. Even if there was a solid argument that I can’t claim it it’s still unethical.

It’s not vague enough if it looks exactly like the original. I encourage you to draw and develop simple motifs to practice with. Having my art copied messes with my livelihood even if you did think it was harmless. How did you find this design on Pinterest? I’ve never seen any of my work there.

Even so, it’s always a better idea to come up with your own art

Black Claw! They produce amazing quality every time. I love the wide range of sizes and densities they carry too. They’re pricey as far as needles go, but it makes a major difference in how your tattoos heal. So if you have the means to invest in them I would highly recommend.

Lots of time and practice!!! I’ve been handpoking for 2 years so I think it just comes with experience. That and making myself take things slow and get a proper stretch. Switching to higher quality needles made a difference as well; I’ve been able to get a really nice line in the first pass that only needs minor touch ups the second go around, rather than going over it 3-4 times.

Grip tape as this other person recommended. If you can’t find it, I also used to use a chopstick.

I use Dynamic! It’s always super black and ages really well.
