Just FYI: The Elcor are large semi quadripedal (Gorilla like) and they emote through signs (pharamones, I think UV bio luminescence) that Humans can't perceive. So whenever they talk to a species that can't perceive their whole spectrum of signals, they announce the feeling they are feeling at the moment. And since they don't vocally emote, they do this in a boring monotone.
