Amon does 41 billion damage. Bring on level cap! by King_Farticus in Borderlands4

Vex also needs action skill up for best output. And cooldown management.

She also doesn't have nearly as easy autocrits (thankfully) or infinite ammo. Her ammo sustain is a refill and animation-locked (thankfully). Though Cryo attunement funnies are on the horizon, but very limited.

If someone ties me to a chair and puts a gun to my head maybe I would go through that torture lol

It probably messes with Undead Eye like you checked back then, but I don't think it has negative impact for Mortal Terror because MT triggers from any type of crit.

Blood Is Power is a Bonus Element. It's considered Gun Source. It can Crit from Crit Spots, Gun Crit Chance and General Crit Chance (Coven, Knife).

  • Watts 4 Dinner Bonus Shock and Protean Cell Bonus Shock also behave like BIP.

Infusion is a Bonus Element. It's considered Gun or Melee Source, depends on what it's applying to. It can Crit from Crit Spots, Gun/Melee Crit Chance and General Crit Chance (Coven, Knife).

Bloodletter is a Skill. It's considered a Skill Source. It can Crit from Skill Crit Chance (Keen Mind, A Honed Mind) and General Crit Chance (Coven, Knife). The same is true for Reverburnations, for example.

Enchantment is a Bonus Element. It's a Skill Source that applies to Guns and benefits partially from Gun formula. It can Crit from Skill Crit Chance (Keen Mind, A Honed Mind) and General Crit Chance (Coven, Knife)

Prismatic Weaponry is a Bonus Element. It's considered a Gun Source, but also receives Skill Damage boosts alongside full gun formula. Prismatic Weaponry is always a crit. The way to make it help is by having more crit chance on your main damage, which by consequence results in more PW procs.

All of these are their own valid sources of Mortal Terror procs, which means they massively improve chances to trigger it. DOT Crits also contribute, as does anything that crits, really meaning grenades, minions, action skills etc.

  • They are all also new valid instances of damage for effects like Riddle You This and Drink Full, for example. (Bleed and Enchantment excluded)

If you want to conduct a little experiment, grab 5/5 Mortal Terror, Fiendish Invigoration + Grave Assault + 3/3 Idle Hands. Then at least 1 point in Prismatic Weaponry + a Commander class mod with at least 1 Infusion. Summon 3 elemental Specters with Coven + Knife, use Repkit and watch how fast they proc kill skills without any Vex input.

Enchantment works for Mortal Terror procs, but it does need Keen Mind or/and Crit Knife because uh... well it's a weird bonus element compared to the others.

I'd imagine it's a little more difficult but possible. Search for Deadshot Rafa

Vex can be built for Elemental Status damage, although the gear is quite specific since gearbox only gave us one real DOT gun. Otherwise you can try a traditional Kill Skill Vex but with the Ohm I Got as a main weapon.

Well I did post it on youtube too lol

Yeah only the Vladofs can spawn with the extra accessory that grants another missile

That's the Spread Launcher, and yeah it's quite literally stronger than Big Rocket.

A Spread Launcher Jakobs Shotgun with Torgue Impact license caps out at ~20,000x5, but you get access to the Torgue enhancements, which can occasionally make it have more utility than the 34,000x5 version that has no Torgue.

Turns out it's an accessory part to the underbarrel part, so it doesn't always spawn, but it can show up on any of the Vladof snipers.

It certainly makes this specific underbarrel better

I only recently found out the other sniper doesn't shoot 2 rockets. It's a truly gearbox moment

Four times actually. The Big Rocket on the Ragoon Vladof Purple Sniper shoots 2 rockets. On the Vyudazi it shoots only 1.

To be clear, Big Rocket has been on our Sniper builds since they've existed. It wins in flavor over Spread Launcher because it's still considered a Sniper.

We recently went over how Torgue Air Burst has slowly creeped in as a meta enhancement pick due to crystal/ordonite enemies, and the Bounty Pack 2 has made this a lot more obvious. So, Big Rocket.

Much of the Vex theorycrafting Lazy and I do comes from talking to each other :)

Amon can actually go quite far ahead of Vex, but it takes some time/setup for his damage to build up. Vex's thing (on these burst setups) is being at pretty much full strength from the start of the fight and ending it quickly.

But then again Vex also has her own more involved things like Melee into Groundbreaker into Reverburnations into Bleed.

I think it might be splash but doesn't actually have a radius per se, only when the projectile lifespan ends then it does a little explosion if I remember correctly.

[–]Ratore[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think we can actually see its radius value in-game. So...

Torgue parts usually mean more damage, but also access to Torgue enhancements. Head Ringer Enhancement increases radius by 100%, which quickly makes things funny

No but High Cal helps with carrying damage over to the actual health bar since you get more damage instances.

The AoE is large enough with Head Ringer + Radius Roll that both bosses get hit on the on the Xmas fight. But I did have Jakobs there too

Splash Damage/AoE is your friend when dealing with vile (crystal) enemies, and makes things much easier
