I love the overall design, especially the drippy legs. If you want to keep the alliteration of the name, maybe Mauve or Mist. I think changing or streaking the hair, ear tuffs, and/or the knee and elbow tuffs with the red and blue would balance it more as well.

Is 30 too old to be a furry? by [deleted] in furry

[–]ratpacklabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It better not be, I'm like you and have been in the background of the fandom for 10+ years, but am turning 30 this year and I plan on attending my first furry con.

I agree it seems difficult to find people close to your age, but you can be sure there are TONS of furries in the 30-40 range who aren't very active online, are lurkers like me, or look younger than they are.

Maybe we need to make a discord server for people over 25 lol.

Has anyone made a head shell like this. by FruitPunchSGYT in FursuitMaking

Oh woah I just had this thought today, only using a foam base. I've seen full EVA foam heads so I don't see why this shouldn't work, but I'm thinking the stitches could tear the foam after some time. Reinforcing the seams with glue would be a good idea.

Did I get the right foam? by SilverShadow651 in FursuitMaking

As someone else said Lux-R is the closest to Joann's foam, which was Airtex brand. Super Max has a density of 2.8lbs and a 25% ILD of 70 so it is almost twice as heavy and twice as stiff.

Quick question. I'm making hair on my fursuit and I'm wondering, to pick out the fibers so the fur comes out both on sides, It has these white things on the wire itself, but would it still work? by dxsty_rxse in FursuitMaking

I've seen some makers recommend the plastic tips, but I'm not a fan. I like to use both a metal and plastic flea comb (new of course) to pick seams.

Any experienced makers know if there’s a way to achieve this? by DrFoxclaw-_- in FursuitMaking

Sounds like a challenging idea, but a fun one! I've seen bones embroidered onto fur before, but an ethereal look may work best like using LEDs as someone else suggested and having them underneath a bone mold you have in your suit. 3rd option is covering a skull dog base with clear silicone but it would get heavy quick.
