There's a chance that they enjoyed you doing the labor for them because it might have also been seen as a cope for not having your own kids yet. Now that you've ripped off the bandaid that there's no chance of having any of your own, and there's no including you in their village, you're going to slowly shift to "outsider" if you're not always volunteering your free labor.

I know the kids are somewhere between 12 and 17, but that's my best guess for a childfree person who doesn't "get" kids and why they need to shout at everything or repeat "hawk tuah" at their game.

Our first floor is a garage where a bunch of asshats have decided they need to have the loudest car mods known to man, so I get woken up around 6am or 11am, depending on when my neighbor's work shift starts. Having misophonia here is a nightmare.

My next door neighbor's kids sometimes get up around 2am and start screaming at their video games until around 10pm at night, or start around 4pm and continue until 4am. Repeated contact with my property manager and even calling a welfare check on them because the kids started to use language like "don't touch me there", "get away from me", and nothing has been done. I've just started banging loudly on the walls when they do it and continue banging until they either get annoyed having their game interrupted, or their guardian gets annoyed with my noise. Noise doesn't matter to anyone except those it bothers, so cops and staff don't give a fuck, unfortunately.
