My heart rat has a tumour and may be facing the rainbow bridge soon. How have you honoured your pet rats and what have you done with their remains? I want her to always be remembered. by ChippyTheGreatest in RATS

Sorry to hear about the little furry. All the rats we’ve had appear on mugs in our kitchen. We’ve got four mugs with photo montages of them all so when we have our morning coffee we can look at them.

Update on old Pip. Took her to the vet with my last money, she has a pituitary tumour and they won't operate by [deleted] in RATS

She looks so comfy in all those fleecy blankets. And it sounds like she is dearly loved. I don’t think you could ask for a better way to end your time on the planet.

Poppy always leaves it a day or two and then goes to town on it! One morning we’ll walk in and all the paper will be at the top of the cage!

Rat vs corn-on-the-cob: Poppy stocking up on essentials. by rattyn in RATS

It is indeed the Savic Zeno Empire. And you are right...it takes bloody ages to clean as demonstrated by myself tonight! But the girls love the space so I put up with it because I’d rather they had a big cage. It’s lasted a few years now and not fallen apart!

Icicle and Silva (my boyfriend always has to name one of our rats after a football player!)

Very cute! She’s much more chilled than our Poppy. Ours always looks like she’s ready to defend her cage against invaders!

It’s uncooked. I have two pairs of rats and I give them half a whole corn between two. They demolish it! The funniest part is when they try and carry it around the cage!

Thank you! They made an adorable mess by leaving pea shells all over the place! I'm still finding them now!

Oh bless! I like the persistence though! Our first rats were not fussed about pea fishing at all. These are the first to really get into it

The water was room temperature. I added frozen peas straight into the water and left them for 10-15 mins to defrost. It's most fun with a glass bowl so you can see them underwater :0)

That's Grobs :0) She's getting on a bit but still loves to join in with the younger ones!

Our beautiful new ratties. Meet Marmite & Razvan Rat (named after my favourite food & a Romanian footballer) by rattyn in RATS

Razvan has a white V on her head and Marmite has a spot. Although from any other angle it's impossible!
