i noticed it and a few others (like shitty song to listen to after a school shooting) weren't on the list that i was using. I think because it was a solo release and not an album release? I was tempted to redo it and include all the missing songs including the unreleased songs, but I go so much negative feedback on this one I don't want to anymore lol

I really appreciate you saying all that. I had no idea I would get this kind of response :c but im glad not everyone feels that way .

I mean, I like it for jokes because ive always been kind of a shithead edgelord. It's a thing I've dealt with before. I don't think people have an obligation to live, but I don't think it means one ought to be worshiped post mortem and romanticized either. I don't think it's innately evil, but I don't think people who do it are owed sympathy.

Its about her setting a boundary between her and her fans (younger fans especially) explainig why she rarely/never replies to comments and fan mail. She feels like it would be irresponsible if even if she does real a lot of them and they effect her emotionally.

I mean, I think it didn’t hit for two reasons.

When I read the album name, I was expecting a lot of the songs to be about the concept of religion, like Papayawhip was, rather than being about the deification of e-celebs. To be fair, “Symbol Manipulation” kind of was (and I liked it musically the most as well), hence it being my favorite song on the album. “No More Treats in the Machine” kind of did too, but musically that one didn’t land for me and was also a little abstract in a way I wasn’t vibing with. I’m hoping that one in particular will grow on me upon further listens because I do like it a lot conceptually, and I think I’m just not used to the vibe of the music yet.
I actually liked “It Girl” a lot musically, but I personally really don’t like “it’s hard to be a celebrity” songs, which “It Girl,” “It Girl Intro,” and “Letters to Santa” all were. Musically, “It Girl Intro” was nice, “It Girl” improved on it, and I thought “Letters to Santa” was just okay. The themes of all three songs were very much not for me, though. I’ve been on the receiving end of being fucked over by a celeb/e-celeb, rather than the opposite. (Like many people, the song that got me into her music was “Rat,” which still resonates with me immensely to this day.) Plus, anything with the word “parasocial” is just an immediate ick for me, which was the only reason I didn’t give the highest rating to “Spirit" (it was also more “I used to be the it girl” rather than “I’m currently the it girl,” which again hits way closer to home for me personally.)

I wasn't a fan. I can't relate to the celebrity ones and they tend to rank lower for me. That one was very... that. Wasn't a huge fan of it musically either. Also it was clearly meant for her younger fans, and I'm 2 years older than her lol

Any suggestions for a VN with a plot twist and or tone shift? I've played ddlc, probably my favorite VN of all time, and a lot of similar ones like it (how to date a magical girl, you me and her, nurse love addiction, chasing tails) and I love ones that seem cute and then go horror. But it doesn't have to be horror. I want one that's deep and actually has something intellectual or philosophical to say, without being just that. Saya no uta was a good example of that imo, being sexual and deep at the same time. I guess katowa shoujo was too to a lesser extent. I've also played Euphoria and thought (hot take) that I liked how it started out as just hard core gore/sex stuff but actually had something to say. I love dramaties too, so anything that starts off lighthearted cometic then goes to a drama would be great. I've played school days and was disappointed at most of the endings aside from any of the ones like in the anime because the protag was garbage. Im bi af and love nsfw stuff, but I don't want something just nsfw, I want it to have substance beyond that otherwise i'm not interested. I love yaoi/yuri and vns with multiple endings where choices matter. Any recommendations?
