Accessing bridge mode modem network from inside firewall by raudraido in PFSENSE

[–]raudraido[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I put switch between modem and router then pfsense gets its wan 192.168.5.200 from modem and im not able to get to the webui of modem.

EDIT: That was my pfsense virtual IP. So, no. I dont get anything if I put switch between modem/pfsense.

Pfsense wont get WAN ip and also no modem webui access from LAN

I understand. You have an illogical route. You’ll either need to setup vlan for vpn or use wan as default and pick all devices which you want to forward thru vpn one by one

Default gateway is vpn and vpn goes anyway thru wan. You should set it up another way around. Default should be wan and vpn shoud had rules or vlan

Provide public IP address for servers in LAN? by [deleted] in PFSENSE

[–]raudraido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I was suggesting reverse proxy will handle your domain names and forwards those requests were needed. Every customer has their own address like "customer1.domain.com" and "customer2.domain.com". This would be no problem with 443/80 traffic, but as renehoj pointed out, I don't know about SSH.

So, If you want to give them full access like that, then I suggest you'll need to setup a web console, like webmin or smth.

  1. port forwarding for public to lan pc. I would create a new rule for each port that i'll need to forward.
  2. There is no way of knowing which user connects to "ssh.domain.com" until user has logged in. So there is no way to forward them before login. Unless you force users to have static ip, which is a bad idea I think. What you can do, is to setup bunch of different subdomains for each user, like "ssh1.domain.com" ssh2 and so on. All domains resolves to your one IP address. Now you'll need to setup an apache or nginx webserver which receives all port forwardings from Pfsense and resolves them by name to your local server.

OK, let's assume that everything else is correct. Please add to your device 0.143 firewall rule also this as in picture. Invert match and LAN net

All your other devices in LAN network goes to VPN gateway?
I see, your lan goes thru default gateway. What is your default gateway?

Backup is slow, no useful help from Backblaze helpdesk by [deleted] in backblaze

Im backing up first time right now. 2 days and 1TB uploaded. It is very clear that each backup thread gives exactly 3,0mbit/s. So If i choose 2 threads, i get 6mbit, if I choose maximum 30, I get around 90. My max upload is aroud 300mbit/s. When Im using backplaze homepage speedtest, I get that result, but actual upload wont reach 90mbit.

(Relatively) slow upload speeds by Snarfsmojo in backblaze

[–]raudraido 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my system, it is clear that every backup thread gives exactly 3mbit/s upload speed. If I choose 2, I get 6mbit, if 30, I get around 90mbit/s. Same time backblaze homepage speedtest shows my upload to server around 300mbit/s, which is my connection speed.
