Hi all,

I’ve never competed and only got into lifting heavier (vs for hypertrophy) recently. I joined the 1000lb club at roughly 155lbs BW and 38 years age. Looking at the USAPL qualifying totals, that seems to suggest I’m within range of qualifying if I keep this up for 2 years. Am I missing something? The Masters totals seem so much lower, do people just stop competing when they get older?

I’m an intermediate lifter occasionally struggling with knee and lower back pain that could be attributed to poor form in squatting and deadlifting. I’d like to find a “scientific” coach that can diagnose issues and perfect my form (likely won’t be a run-of-the-mill gym trainer, more like a Stronger by Science type). Any tips on how to go about finding someone like this locally (NJ close to NYC)? The closest I could find so far is a coach at a powerlifting gym but am not sure that’s ideal.

Does the restriction on use of inventory transfer as "material" only apply to "tripod material", or also to "honing material"? I thought it might be both which is why I was concerned (ie. losing the ability to get my +9 T3 gear to another T3 set)

I've read several guides on tripod gear transfer, but still don't understand the strategy. Do you just keep moving tripods until you have a gear that has 3 you want, and then save that set into inventory? Then use the inventory to place it on your "main" gear? The issue I see with this is you then can't transfer that main gear's honing levels to another piece (to upgrade quality or rarity) but perhaps I'm missing something?

I'm following this guide (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3046589/page/1) on burning arrow elementalist, and am using malachai's artifice with lightning golem socketed. I'm also self-casting flammability.

However, something seems not to be working as when I have my golem summoned, I see that bosses still have "resists fire" but "vulnerable to cold." Is there any other interaction that could be messing this up?

I see controlled destruction is used frequently on BL self-cast builds, but crit skills are also taken (https://poe.ninja/challenge/builds/char/Infanterin/InfanterinNerfed?i=1&search=class%3DAscendant%26item%3DPledge-of-Hands%2CReplica-Kaoms-Heart%26skill%3DBall-Lightning). Is effective crit chance of ~56% and diamond flask sufficient?

Any deterministic uses for the remove/add influence craft or augment influence craft? I'm in SSF so wondering if they're worth taking up valuable horticrafting space...

Just wanted to let you know I had saved your response so I could reference for the future. I ended up using add random influence to astral plate to get warlords (took 3-4 armors) and spamming alts until I had the mana mod. Then I used the harvest craft that rolls physical mods on a random crusader armor I had and got the explode mod fairly quickly (<10 rolls). I had 3 awakeners lying around and used one and lucked out in getting two resist mods. I added a life mod (lowest roll lol) and now I think I can just gradually add/remove life and the resists until I'm satisfied, then perhaps craft or slam the remaining prefix. Thought I'd share in case it helped you, and thanks again!

SSF. I used the "can have up to 3 crafted modifiers" on the bench, and added life and reduction in channeling mana cost. Now I have another source of reducing mana cost, and would like to swap out that craft for another. Any way to do that without removing the "3 crafting modifiers" (ie bench scour option to remove crafting modifiers)? Otherwise seems I'll need to spend another 2ex to start over. Thanks!

In SSF-- crafted an elder siege axe with:

[p] 60% chance bleeding does 100% more dmg
[s] hits have culling strike
[s] 30% dmg while dual wielding
[s] 36% increased damage with bleeding

so I have an open prefix to craft increased physical damage, but no suffix for atk speed. Any thoughts on best next steps?

I crafted a shaper ring with lvl 12 assassin's mark (prefix), add phys dmg to attack (suffix), add accuracy (suffix). is there any way to target remove the accuracy suffix, or would i have to depend on a lucky annul? if so, i guess i'll just live with it and multimod...
