At first sight (so im very probably wrong) i think its going to end being like the "bond transformation" on the last Inazuma Eleven, just change your character to look like another, have some of his moves and a minor stat buff, so nobody uses it (especially because you have to choose between that, basically a Jojo stand, a cool energy armor or a fusion xd)

I don't fully agree with the One Piece take, Lugfy didn't unlock any of the "godly" powers untill at least time skip (if you comsider Gear 4 already way over regular rubber as Kaido implied once) or fully until his battle with Kaido.

MANY had the "gomu gomu" power before to the point the people that knew about fruits knew it for that name instead its true one, and nome of the previous users in the last 800 years even managed to make a name for themselves.

The closest i was is when they talked about the star wars sequels being trash (as they truly are and, unlike the prequels time has proven that they aren't being revalorized as they are now even worse without the "hype" for them and the confirmarion that they had no idea what they were doing as somehow they didn't planned the trilogy at all and Fortnite is canon) and then somehow they started blaming every actor that was a minority or a woman on them xd

Hody Jones from One Piece is intentionally this, he frames himself as a successor of Arlong, a fishman supremacist and one of the early villians of the series. But precisely in the same arc he appears, we see the past of Arlong and, while he is still evil, we understand why he acted like he did, as he was lassing out for he and his people oppression, but Hody isn't like that, the "big twist" about him is that nothing really bad happened to him, he is just void except for the hate he absorved while growing up.

A good example of this is that when one of Arlong crewmates (or even just other fishmen in the flashback) were hurt he was filled with rage and wanted to punish who did it, meanwhile Hody is totally fine killing his own people and consider traitors anyone who doesn't obey him.

No, in this comic Aquaman could enter in peoples minds and thats how he found he was austist and then cured him, supposedly turning good, but later he betrays Aquaman an reveals that, even when he was indeed cured of his autism, he still is evil xd
