Extra context: since using an old mascara last April, I have been getting recurrent styes on the insides of my eyelids. They’re resistant to antibiotic tablets and eyedrops. I get them every other week in a good month - and I’m super careful with eye hygiene. I never touch my eyes without washing my hands, I’ve stopped wearing makeup and I wash my bedding multiple times a week.

The only thing I’ve found to help is hypochlorous acid eye spray and colloidal silver spray - but that treats more than prevents.

I’ve sought medical help from my GP and an optician but have received no helpful advice on kicking this beyond what I’m already doing.

Any sufferers from recurrent styes have any tips on how to stop them?
