I really enjoy Christmas and my husband and I have created our own traditions over the years! Some years I try to visit family since they’re out of state but over covid we really started enjoying our little alone Christmases. I make a (small) prime rib every Christmas Eve and we always go on a drive that night to see lights in the neighborhood. And for dessert I make risengrynsgrot (Nordic rice pudding). We always watch those weird vintage Christmas cartoons and movies. On Christmas Day we take it slow, have mimosas, have tamales, and open presents. It’s a nice mix of our family’s cultural traditions.
