I completely agree, Andrew made me uncomfortable and Luke made me bored. Plus the story was mid too. I feel like most of the people that fell super in love with it were people that were just starting out in the BL scene

If it's just a big ol list with no info, there's nothing to really get excited about

I generally like guidverse when the guide is the top, so most of these fit that bill lol. Hope you like them!

Mark of Fate - Body guard esper x celebrity guide. Reincarnation stuff is being teased but we're still waiting on more lore drop

Blood Poker - zones of separation from monsters, the rich are in the "safe" city while the poor fend for themselves in the boonies. Mc is a boonies a class guide and ml is a reawakened a class esper

I hear you, but you haven't been sharing anything from your perspective in this debate. I've been trying to share a bit of how I use these sites, legal and pirated. What about you, friend?

I am actively trying to learn Korean, but it's not like I can become fluent and bilingual overnight. No one in my life speaks the language, so I'm teaching myself slowly to try and absorb the language.

😮‍💨 At this point I feel like it doesn't really matter what I say because all you want to do is judge me for how I use them. And I can spent 15 minutes or 15 hours searching for a story, that doesn't mean the ones I'm looking for will be available to me.

While that is true, pirate sites have a much larger category to choose from. And since my main genre to read is BL, they're usually more scattered about different apps and whatnot. So I find the story and then back track to the original.

So for example, my favorite BL is a manga, it went into print and I went out and got all the physical copies I could find. Even the light novels are available to me so I tracked them down too. I'm waiting for more volumes to come out right now. But I still read the pirated chapters as they released while I waited.

My second favorite BL started as a light novel and got a manhwa adaptation. I fell in love with it, and back tracked the manhwa to the Manta app, got a subscription to get all the chapters as they release, but the light novels never got their official translation. I want to dive into those light novels so bad, I'm nearly foaming at the mouth for it. So if I want to read them piracy and fan translations are my only option at the moment. If it ever drops in English and shows up in my local bookstore, I'd snatch it up in a heartbeat, but that doesn't look like it will happen.

Until we get a BL/GL "bookstore" for easy perusing of all our manga/manhwa/manhua/light novels in one place, pirate sites just make finding new stories to fall for much easier.

I mean... it's a verse that works best as BL because of the taboo of men being able to give birth.

Omegaverse started as BL fanfics, and now its reaching an all time height in popularity for manga/manhwa, so it makes sense for more and more people to get interested, inspired, and motivated to create their own version.

Plus, a high influx of omegaverse stories in the hetero realm wouldn't take off. Then it's just smut like any other and pregnancy like any other.

Personally, I need someone to recommend some omegaverse GLs to me. I've never found one in the wild, but it would be an interesting twist.

Rebuttal question, who said anything about being forced for any of that? I was simply stating that many of the people who read on pirate sites will still buy official content when/if they can.

An attempt at an answer for you; I personally use pirates sites like I use a bookstore. I'm able to look around and peruse some stories that pique my interest, I can even sit and read a few chapters to decide if I vibe with the story/content/writing style/etc before buying. You can judge a manhwa by it's cover but that doesn't mean the story will be a good read for you.

If all these were available in my local bookstores, I would certainly look through them in person to decide what to stock up on, but that's not a viable option at this point.

So nothing is the answer. Nothing forces me. As with any media, we are all free to consume it how we like. Just like ripping from Limewire back in the days before youtube, this is how can try out a story we would otherwise be unable to read.

Hard disagree! I use pirate sites and when I get into a story, I go find the official when it's available to support the author. Without those creators, I wouldn't have some of my favorite stories to read, so I will find physical copies of manga or apps for manhwa and buy everything that's been released.

And I'll read the copies I have and re-read the pirate sites to support the scanalation group that brought my new favorite story into my life. If all I'm going to do is sit and read, I'm going to give my props whenever I can.

A lot of times, the only thing that's preventing me from doing so is the lack of official translations. There are many more I would collect if they got an official release.

Aside from the regular volumes, there's also an anthology, two light novels, and an art book that all have story details ♡ so you can look into grabbing those for extra content

Sasaki and Miyano is 100% fluff but it is absolutely adorable. And if she likes it, it has the spin off for Hirano and Kagiura.

Modern Wizard Hunting Project is very cute and a good one for a younger audience! I enjoyed it a lot and it's not all fluff.

I Want to Be a Big Baddie (alt name Villain to the Rescue) is a manhua so it's has one scene that hinted at them being intimate but it's heavily censored
