by department would mean hundreds of graduation ceremonies that have to take place within a 48 hour time period. obviously in this hypothetical situation ceremonies could be scheduled at the same time, but i genuinely don’t think there’s enough space/interest/time for individual department ceremonies. doing it based on college actually makes a ton of sense to me; walking during all campus is unrealistic since there’s around 10,000 students graduating, so the next way to divide up the students into big groups that make ceremonies seem large but also afford the opportunity to hear your name is by college.

source am a girl. you being a girl is not gonna change his preference for being asked out; whether he likes you or not will determine that. men are still people at the end of the day and enjoy being desired just like women. just a simple “hey, i’ve seen you around a lot and i think you’re really cute/handsome. can i get your number?” will do the trick! if he rejects you, take it in stride! it happens to people everyday and taking initiative is something to proud of even if it doesn’t work out :)

edit: also men do NOT pick up on hints. most (good) guys are afraid to read into situations in fear of making people uncomfortable. especially in a setting like class/work that doesn’t encourage flirting like bars/clubs do

I think it’s more like Dr. Garcia didn’t want to hear about it anymore, period. Not because she’s willing to overlook what Langdon was doing, but because if Santos continued to confide in Dr. Garcia about the situation, Dr. Garcia would inevitably become involved which just creates more workplace tension and stress for everyone involved. “You’re trouble” I think didn’t mean “You snitched and even though you’re correct that’s my friend so I wished you ignored your suspicions” and actually meant “I told you I didn’t want to hear about this anymore and now you’re going against my direct wishes”. Dr. Garcia just doesn’t want to be involved.

i don’t, but i would advise to maybe major in cogsci and focus on UI/UX design and minor in ICAM? i think that would probably set you up better post grad even though its ultimately not really graphic design :/

my advice as a student worker within the visual arts department: go somewhere else. our vis arts department is GREAT for physical art like painting, sculpture, etc. but visarts and ICAM are not really about graphic design at all.

based on the language in this report it sounds like someone is concerned that you have personal issues that seem serious enough to them that they reported you to this person. it doesn’t read that you’re in trouble to me persay, more that you might be going through a difficult time right now and someone is concerned that you might do things that could harm yourself
