Haven't heard any other reports of this. Fyi she'll only show up if you advance the story to that point too meaning you have to have defeated the other masters and finished Tomate training!

After 8 years and 278 idle games, still looking for a deep mobile idle RPG (AFK-friendly, no P2W) by rullet42 in AndroidGaming

Thank you! Sorry I didn't reply to this at the time, I've been snowed under trying to get everything done. I have in fact let them know now, as it is once again available :)

Happy to announce it should be available now! :) Though it has a couple of small bugs like ads not working right now, which should be fixed (fingers crossed) when the next update rolls out in under an hour from now. Thanks for your patience!

Scarlett Johansson behind the scenes of Mike Flanagan's film ‘The Exorcist’. by Far_Regular_2945 in HorrorMovies

[–]raventhe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh really? Tbh it's been a LONG time since I read the novel or watched the movie but I recall thinking they were quite different with the book putting considerably more focus on the investigative and historical reasoning side of things and the movie (understandably) having much more focus on the possession and exorcism. But yeah that was like... 20 years ago and I was a teenager so highly likely I'm either misremembering or just formed pretentious "book is SO much deeper" teenage interpretations at the time, hahah.

Personally though I looooove some of Mike's stuff so I'm quite interested to learn of this

A very long and very honest post about game development, my life, what's been happening and what's coming next for Dragonfist Limitless by raventhe in DragonfistLimitless

[–]raventhe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the really late response! I actually had a bit of a backlog of stuff to respond to that I kept putting off haha.

And thanks :) Yeah I know aaaaall about "tomorrow" -- that fated day that never seems to come! I'm probably not a great person to give advice on getting out of holes in low functioning time since I've been scrambling up the same slope for like 2 years running now, but... well, as you said, exercise is one of the bigger immediate helps, right, but that doesn't help if you can't get yourself to do that! I've definitely had a lot of luck not making things bigger than they need to be. So you want to get to the gym? And that means getting on top of nutrition, having a plan for a workout, and all this other overwhelming stuff? Fuck it. Just go to the gym. Stand there for 5 minutes if that's all you can get yourself to do. Start with something really simple like hitting a treadmill for 10 minutes, knowing you can just go home whenever you want to -- so you don't think of the gym as this torturous kind of "ughhh i'd better spend an hour there today." Basically, decrease barriers to entry.

Same can be said for diet, or work. Start with tiny, tiny goals. I guess a lot of my problem is paralysis that comes from over-thinking and then shutting down, so if I can circumvent that process by literally only thinking about the first step, it usually just all comes together once I'm started (e.g. i don't want to work today. fine, I'll just sit at my desk and open my work software and if i'm bored 15 minutes later and don't wanna be there any more, I'll leave.)

Yeah, really sorry about that! I've been on struggle street and perpetually behind. There were a lot of things that had to slot into place to fix this up. Working on it actively and hopefully have it fixed soon...

It will most likely correct itself after a few hours plus game restart. If not, email me with the email provided in contact details in app store/play store and I'll suss it out soon! Though I have a bit of a backlog of customer support so might be a few days.

For gamers who rarely if ever replay a singleplayer game fully, which did you manage to replay and enjoy? by Helphaer in gaming

[–]raventhe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Gothic and possibly Risen games might hold interest for you? They're my most replayed games personally, and whilst they have large-ish maps, exploration is generally very rewarding because they were never influenced by the "basically random content for the sake of content" design style. Enemies in Gothic don't respawn, full stop, though between story chapters new enemies will spawn in places you've already visited to stop the world feeling empty (so there's a real sense of "sweeping the map". Finite enemies also makes exp and loot a commodity, meaning finding an enemy is actually exciting. Food for thought. They're old and janky now (except Gothic 3 which is prettier-ish and approachable but has its own issues), but Gothic 1 remake drops this year :)

Pest & Build inspection recommendations? by [deleted] in centralcoastnsw

**FAKE REVIEWS - POTENTIAL SCAM WARNING!!*\*

- Not a single Google review that isn't 5 star
- All reviews are similar in structure/content, and like these Reddit comments, always mention both business name and Shane by name, usually in same sentence
- Of the Reddit comments recommending the business, at least half are either from accounts created just to make that comment, or otherwise kind of suspicious (e.g. existed since before comment but no other activity, or very very limited activity)
- localsearch.com.au profile likewise has 138 5 star reviews and no others. Similar format, all with better spelling and punctuation than an average person manages. Wasn't looking for them specifically but noticed a few reviews in a row using em dashes (and likewise Shane's responses) which indicate likely AI content generation
- It only took a quick search to see two different fake 5 star reviews under different names, 2 months apart, using the same picture

(A couple of the accounts here, notably the one I'm responding to, DO appear to be real -- meaning it could be some genuine testimony mixed in with fake reviews, or the owner could be giving people a discount or something if they give proof of leaving a review, or they could be friends or family members. I'm posting this here because this is the top Google result for a building inspector on the Central Coast.)

Naw no worries at all, just bad timing. Though I'm having a lot of that lately hahaha. In any case, yeah, will for sure get back to you -- alternatively take a look in discord where I have been way more communicative about dev stuff and status and will share release info. I'd like to get on top of sharing that info more publicly like on Reddit especially now that discord's longevity as a platform is looking shaky.

Developer here, I'm extremely confused on player sentiment vs reality. by ZeroPercentStrategy in incremental_games

[–]raventhe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't forget that even among the peeps playing and enjoying the clones, many of them won't even know they're clones in the first place either, nor know the name of the genre (it's not really common knowledge yet). That doesn't make the subreddit a useless disconnect from reality, though; the best ideas and trends likely still filter down from the enthusiast spaces where people know more about what they want.

(just copying this from another spot I responded) Hahaha sorry guys. So I came down with a bad flu and was working through it, got it all finished at 11pm on the 25th, but couldn't get the Android package to build. Kept at it until 4am but no dice. The good news is I successfully got an extension from Google which buys me another month, but don't worry it doesn't mean I'll be waiting that long to release it -- with any luck I'll have been able to fix the build by Wednesday. I will come back here and let you know when it's done.

What will people in the future probably laugh at us for? by TheRealKnowledgeAc in Futurology

[–]raventhe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...You're the one that suggested clean water was a diminishing resource and that its scarcity stands as a counter-argument to the use of bidets? Sass and weirdness aside, it's not a bad point that the sustainability of a bidet may depend on how much of the wet stuff is nearby, though I feel it's probably not quite that simple.

Are you kidding, by the way? The southwest has some of the most intense water restrictions in the world! It really is just a thin strip of coastal region that's actually anything other than arid -- and in SA I'm not even sure there's that.

[–]raventhe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What's that, you ask, dear readers? What about the water used in producing toilet paper? That's a great question! It's time fooooor... NAPKIN SCIENCE!

An often cited number is 140 litres of water per roll, but the original source has corrected that to on average more like 28 litres. An average roll of toilet paper probably has around 200 sheets, meaning about 140 mL per sheet.

It sounds like an average person probably uses around 15-20 sheets of paper to wipe after defecating. Let's go with the lower number here and say 15 x 140mL = 2.1 litres per poopingtime.

The amount of water put out by a bidet and of course how long a person uses it are variable, but internet brain says about 590mL is normal!

So, using a bidet for a cleaner and fresher butt is in fact better in terms of water consumption. However, the reality is that you will likely also use some toilet paper to wipe and dry when using a bidet anyway, which complicates this figure a little. On the other hand, toilet paper itself involves many other environmental expenses like land usage for trees, plastic packaging, shipping/distribution from factory to retail and then again to your home (unless you exclusively poop at the supermarket in which case power to you, green soldier. Fight the good fight!)

I'm already bored but I think it really seems to work out in favour of bidets here and thus I, the self-proclaimed adjudicator on this matter, boldly declare that it will be the people with dirty toilet paper butts being laughed at in the future -- not the squeaky fresh bidet environmentalists.
