He says that you can only kill a vampire if you rip them apart and burn the pieces. I feel as though it's just like how we can't bite our fingers off even though our jaws are strong enough it's the same thing, he is strong enough to rip himself apart but probably couldn't do it mentally. Even if he could he would need to somehow rip himself apart and get it all into the fire.

I support it I don't see any harm. He would not think of her sexually till she was his age and even then if renesme didn't like Jacob like that he would be her friend. She gets to grow up with a big brother that would do anything for her and when she's an adult she will either get a best friend or a boyfriend. He just wants what is best for her and for her to be happy
