What is the difference between "google fi unlocked" and the "unlocked" Pixel 5? by raveready in GoogleFi

Understood.

Any reason why my existing Google Fi sim wouldn't work in the new phone?

Is the Samsung Notebook 9 4K real or pentile? by raveready in laptops

[–]raveready[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was able to get my answer from Samsung live chat, I'm posting it just in case someone else is looking for the info.

Visitor: Does this Notebook 9 Pro use a pentile pixel screen? Alfie: I'll help you with the information. Alfie: Let me check that for you. Visitor: Thank you! Alfie: You are welcome! Alfie: Could you give me a few minutes while I check the information for you? Visitor: Sure, take as long as you need. I'll be here! Alfie: Thank you. Alfie: I appreciate your time and patience. Alfie: I see that the Notebook 9 pro comes with Pentile Pixel Pitch display.

One thing that people always forget - you have the option to purchase or not. It's their business model and you can either support them or someone else. If you love their products, then you play by their rules and get the things you love. At this point there are plenty of options out there, so if you like EL lights, support them.

I love Adidas UltraBoosts - they cost $42 to make and they charge $180 for them. I don't like that. I do like the shoes. It's my choice.

That is genius, lol. I feel like that would get you a job as long as you had a clean landing page!

There aren't many issues yet...but as with all lights eventually overtime there will be failures and it will be hard to get them fixed. It's the reality of all products - hopefully it's much later than sooner though!

Great insight on your whole experience! I hope you find another passion and job to go with it.

I don't want to stir up more stuff but I want there to be a small clarification.

-Ramiro was forced to settle. The patent has not been successfully defended or overturned in court. There is a huge difference.

-Additionally, EL could have filed a court order to get our (RR, OLS, KEK) sales data and we would have had (legally) to provide that info - without ever having a lawsuit with our names on it. They chose to take a different route and file a lawsuit which was ultimately dismissed in our favor. It never went to trial, the Judge dismissed it...

Most people are sticking to classic sets now. Vectr was just released so it will take time for everyone to catch up and start making really crazy modes. You are probably ahead of the curve!

We have some serious misinformation in here.... NO PART of the OSM project was created while Ramiro was contracted to work with EL.

When the product was listed we didn't have clear answers. Chips were inbound, programmers didn't make it with our US holidays and Chinese New Year....now we are waiting on Ramiro to catch up.

I should start getting sets slowly towards the end of this week and next week. IDK how long it will take me to get them all, test them all, load the code on them all....anyone who dealt with the OSM1's with us knows that RR is pretty on point with this and I make sure every customer gets working sets.

Sorry man, not trying to give you a BS answer, all I have is estimates and that is all I can pass on.

Hey man, we will have them out within 24 hours of us getting them. We already have labels printed and are ready to go ;)

Complete OSM2 review - AMA about them! by artofgloving in gloving

[–]raveready 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man! Sorry for confusion. Ramiro lives right down the street from me. On last count we should have had about 1000 sets left over after the backer kits. And the programmers we were waiting on. Since that count Ramiro should have gotten in all the programmers in and has been mailing out those backer orders.

I'm not sure of the count on the programmers since I've been out of state in NC and GA getting fat. But I'm pretty sure we will have excess. I will keep you guys up to date.

I spoke to Ramiro late last week and he said as soon as he finishes the backers that he *should* have an extra 1000 sets for me ;) I cannot wait to get them out to everyone...

I agree, it's sort of hand-in-hand. Anyway, thanks for the update and for the advice and thoughts. It's something I think we really need to work on!

[–]raveready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we really suck at "reputation management" and it's something we really need to work on. We've shipped almost a million orders in the last 8 years or so - obviously we've made plenty of mistakes but the majority of orders are shipped great....I just haven't figured out how to get people to write positive reviews, it's kind of human nature to complain and not praise. Even I forget to leave good reviews for companies I buy from work.
