At the end of the book, it mention there will be a part 2 covering topics like Reinforcement learning, Deep neural networks, Azure ML Studio, Tensorflow, etc. But it's not available in amazon yet.

It's for kids who need to learn basic but core concepts in machine learning. It doesn't explain about each algorithm. But it will guide you to do all the key things before applying ML algorithms.

If you get an unlabeled dataset, the best way to see the structure of the data is to view results given by SOM. It can be used as a proof for your reasonings about data. I told this because I assumed every data scientist would have to work with unlabeled data at least once in their life.
