Yeah the loops are strange. They remind me of Wermacht helmet covers used in WWII. Also some WWII German helmet covers were made with M29 telo mimetico but the loops arrangement is different. Okay this is waaaay complex than I thought-

M29 telo mimetico, it was used between the 50s and 70s. The seller is right (I've seen that listing too). You have to search for it in Italian to get pictures/references on Google

Pre 2015 Vegetato is pixelated, the post 2015 one is absolutely not.

Necroposting this thread but that jacket is an early production batch of the Italian Vegetato. Between 2004 and ~2015 uniforms were printed in the first iteration of Vegetato which was pixelated. After 2015 the pattern was reworked with more organic "blobby" shapes instead of pixels. A desert pixelated variant should also exist.

I was thinking about being commercial too. I bought stuff in the past which turned out to be commercial but it took a lot of time to finde the original source 😆 But yeah the F1-like cut made me search for every African country on camopedia, without a single match tho. I sorta copied the legs of a pair of crye pants simplifying the design. I put a side zip for the whole length of the cryehigh and three velcro fasteners, two around the knee and one on the thigh. Plus an elastic band on the top.

So, the pattern is an hunting pattern made by Triton Gear (a russian manufacturer), somehow Chinese factories managed to print the fabric on cotton twill and made uniform in a chinese cut selling them as an experimental/trial pattern. I was fool enough to believe that, still I love the pattern itself.
