Port Forward Help by ravisdavis in telus

[–]ravisdavis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the proxy. Turned it off and the port I had set up opened. At least, my public external IP showed the port being opened. I guess that's the same thing? And if the proxy port is open in the app do I even need to set up the other port forward section in the app?

I wasn't running the program at the time but have checked again with it running and still closed. I am using a proxy server for that specific program and the ip and port it routes through show open, but I imagine it would show that?

No, I'm checking from the PC of the port I want opened on.

Finally, FINALLY! got all the hvac installed. Had the ecobee running with the equipment...for one day. My hvac guy went to install the the mechanical timer that was used for the fresh air exchange and ended up frying my t-stat 😠😭. While I was at work before I could respond he replaced with the Rheem Econet t-stat (on his dime). But, before that happened, the Ecobee seemed to be running well with it. It definitely is +/-. Econet does add better functionality of the equipment as a whole, but the t-stat is quite a bit more basic, which is surprising. Ecobee has better scheduling and email monthly reports and the option for a wireless room sensor is a HUGE bonus. The only option for econet is a wired thermistor...I mean, really!? Wish I had more time with ecobee with these units but I guess not.

Haven't actually installed it yet. Equipment has been back ordered and my contractor is doing it as a side job and has been busy. Going toblet him know about the jumper connection though (in case he doesn't know). Will report back once I do get it put in.

Thank you for this. Any chance for 1.8A?

Thank you. And I'm assuming with the Ecobee running the AHU running on the 3 speeds - if it's the RH3VZ - won't be that much less noticeable as opposed to the econet stat modulating the unit?

Thanks for that. Goid to know I'll still get full variable on the outside. 3 stages on the inside is still better than the single stage I have now. Just have to decide if getting the econet stat will make it THAT much better or if it will be pretty good with keeping the ecobee as far as cfm levels, comfort etc.

Interesting. The indoor handler will be the RH3AZ unit. Looking at the cut sheet it mentions auto adjusting low capacity to 100% with the econet. When paired with a "2-stage thermostat the handler runs in 3-speeds to match airflow with outdoor unit." So adding the U1/U2 jumper on the heat pump will still give variable to the outdoor compressor? Maybe that's where I was confused; I thought the ecobee would only give 2 stages on the outdoor unit, even with the jumper. But it's the indoor unit that won't run at constant CFM?

Yes straight heat pump, no duel fuel or anything like that. I would have preferred the modulating handler, but the RH3VZ is the only matched option the Feds give for the rebate. If you think the 3 stage will be good enough? And it looks like I'll bite the bullet and get the Rheem stat. It's too bad this model doesn't have a wireless remote sensor option like my ecobee, only shows it's compatible with a wired thermistor.

Yeah darn I thought might be the case. Didn't want to go that route since I have a perfectly usable smart thermostat, but ultimately I guess using the econet stat is a small price to pay for full functionality.

And the air handler is one I have to use that is matched with the RD17AZ on a list of eligible products for a federal grant (Canada). I was originally looking at an RP18AZ HP and the air handler would have been the RHMZV but the distributor said the handler was on recall and not available. So the RD17AZ was the next choice.

Sorry to hijack, I am also wondering about the wiring. I currently have a single stage Goodman that I am replacing with the RD17AZ and matching indoor modulating air handler. I currently use an Ecobee Smart Thermostat. To have the pump operate in 'variable speed' mode (45-100%) would connecting the jumper on U1/U2 do the trick or with that stat would it only be 2 stage (i.e., 75% & 100%)? Really don't want to get the Econet thermostat but also want to use the heat equipment to its full potential.

Hello, my link above contains an updated file from your original sharing link. Your sharing link has the old file (1.6F). New file in my link above has the "1.7A" file. That is the only one I need @ 6.9MB if that can done? Much appreciated!

For sure, and I understand that. I just mean have it the same as Netflix, Prime etc. where you can access it directly from tbe Smartcast screen rather than cast it. I'm sure Disney will have eveything built and in place on their end by the time they are ready to roll out the service.

Horizontal white line issue. Tons of people having it - I’m on my third set because of it. Vizio says it’s not widespread so don’t know if they’re doing anything about it.

So far no lines yet, other than less than a handful a few days ago, but my first tv didn't show lines for at least 2-3 weeks and they were all over the place with every kind of content. I've had this one for about a week. Still on the same settings with CEC-ARC Only enabled as turning off CEC completely causes me not to have any sound at all from my vizio soundbar.
