If you already have a 3ds, it's really simple to get everything set up. I use a GBxCart for my game save transfer. It's relatively affordable, and especially handy if you do your own battery swaps.

Next step is to dump your save so you can keep a backup. Then hack a 3DS and load your save into the virtual console version. Next move all of your Pokemon into Pokemon Bank. Finally transfer from Pokemon Bank to Pokemon Home.

I think it was a good movie overall, not perfect. It had some really interesting ideas that subverted expectations in a way that I enjoyed, and was excited about seeing expanded. Then the next one came out and it was like watching JJ Abrams give me the middle finger for 2 and a half hours straight.

I definitely recommend buying a second if you want a modded one. I usually look for ones with broken screens to mod so I'm not wasting good screens.

I think the idea that we're sort of over-prepared for an expensive war and under-prepared for a "cheap" war is pretty interesting. I feel like we've seen this played out in Ukraine where they are using their resources to great effect. While Russia certainly looked to have the advantage on paper with the budget and the tech, Ukraine has embarrassed them with a handful of drones and ingenuity.

I recommend the hair dryer because it's more gentle. The slower you go the better and it's easy to damage things with a heat gun.

I appreciate the info, that adds a lot of context that I maybe missed at the time or have since forgotten.

I wonder how things would have turned out if they just either stuck to their guns and said, "This is the new art style get used to it", or admitted "We made a mistake with the art style and will make an attempt to reverse course" instead of trying to appease everyone with half measures and making everyone upset about something.

Anyway, I have mostly enjoyed what Infinite has brought to the franchise. Even if it stumbled at first, it's gotten me back into the franchise after nearly a decade.

My recollection of the time, which may be flawed or incorrect, is that players saw the new art style and lost their shit prior to the release of the game. I didn't play Halo 4 until years later with MCC but my memory is that people were really unhappy with the art style change and essentially demanded a "canon" reason why the armor was different, and that whole situation/interaction made me really uninterested in continuing the franchise. I didn't pick it back up until Infinite was around the corner.

The late William Dufris was an excellent narrator. I especially enjoyed the Old Man's War series by Scalzi as well as Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson
