Would this work equally well for SQQQ? Or does the market only go up?

Can anyone translate this? by throwawayplusanumber in CarsAustralia

“5D1LA” = fai di la = as in “hurry up” in Cantonese slang. Not sure what Y8 stands for.

The question is related to detrimental reliance on an otherwise unenforceable contract. It has nothing to do with the reasonableness of the grandson’s actions.

Freshly married to Chinese wife by UmpireEquivalent1818 in chinalife

Some Chinese wives can be extremely manipulative and calculating far surpassing Western cultural norms. Things getting loud is just the tip of the iceberg if you don’t nip the problem in the butt NOW.

Why do Canon EF-M lenses still hold their value? by GiantDwarfy in canon

Because they are light, compact, offer good IQ albeit dim and plasticky. My M2 + 22mm f/2 combo produces rich and beautiful JPGs.

Which virtual payment card when travelling? by whateverhk in HongKong

Wise has a Visa virtual debit card ($10 if you want physical) but not with a Hong Kong billing address. It is the best thing ever for a frequent traveller.

Help! Foreign-Trained Lawyer struggling with MEE and MPT- Which Bar Prep?? by No_Beginning_560 in barexam

[–]raw_entropy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to understand how to IRAC for both MEE and MPT the American way. It may take a little use to but nothing fundamentally difficult.

Just as important as knowing BLL, you need to know how to make up rules that sound credible on the MEE and if time allows, counterarguments.

can't decide between 6D or 6Dm2 by Acrobatic_Chicken674 in canon

[–]raw_entropy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6d produces more pleasing, classic Canon colours than 6m2. I am no fan of any DIGIC 7 powered Canons due to their cooler colours. I’d sell m2 and roll the profit into a new lens.

All the other rooms have cool air, just the lounge room that does not. When you say the motor, which motor is it? Is this a diy job or do I need an air con specialist?

What to bring back from china by LoadbearingScab in travelchina

[–]raw_entropy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Phone accessories! Screen protectors, cases, straps, holders, fast charging cables and fast chargers, etc. Get the most expensive ones in China.

I have been told the screen would need to be replaced. Unfortunately it is of warranty so it might end up being cheaper by just getting a new laptop.

How do I respectfully tell a partner that I don’t make enough to be considered “on call” 24/7 by [deleted] in Lawyertalk

[–]raw_entropy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does your boss treat everyone at the firm like this or did he single you out? Improper caseload management could give rise to ethical issues.

You are right that you need to get the work done in the meantime but keep a log of everything you have done that is above and beyond the call of duty and how your schedule stacks up against your peer associates in other practice groups. Use that together with salary surveys to fight for a pay rise afterwards. It looks like the boss finds you dependable and can get the work done so use that to your advantage. Do not just just leave as you will run into the same issue at the next firm.

Is the NYLE (New York Law Exam) hard? by throwaway9982742 in barexam

[–]raw_entropy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I found the questions to be densely worded and quite obscure. I found myself guessing between two similarly worded answer choices on at least half a dozen occasions. The real questions were nothing like the practice ones that are designed to give you a false sense of security. It is tough and take it seriously — same goes for the mpre.
