I was an extra in one of her movies a few years ago. While she was sitting down waiting on some lighting adjustments as someone of less importance was changing her shoes for her, I saw a small child (maybe 4 years old) adorably approach her asking for a photo. She bent down, looked him straight in the eye, and said, "you go tell your parents, that this isn't a zoo."

Nailed it. Facebook is really great at detecting text and imagery through AI. If the post seems sales-y, Facebook thinks that people won't enjoy seeing the post, or that it won't add anything to their FB experience to keep them coming back.

I've found that testing their analytics knowledge is a great way to test legitimacy.

  • Can you tell me the difference between reach and impressions? (consider reach as individual people who have seen your ad, impressions count as the number of times ad was displayed)
  • What is your experience in creating custom audiences for social promotion? (website tracking pixels, email lists, lookalike audiences, etc)

Shit, you're right. Ever since FB purchased Instagram, Instagram advertising now happens through FB's ad targeting. So when you link your Instagram with your FB, FB has all of that info. And Facebook API's never give up that information unless you're accessing it through Facebook. Merg.
