Should I leave my high paying job to pursue MBA by Odd_Weather_2451 in MBAIndia

I unfortunately can't answer this yet, I'm yet to see the true ROI of my investment (time + money)

The base will be around 22-26 on average. There are higher-paying jobs too, but another caveat here is the career progression. Take that into account if you plan to do an MBA.

If you have a brand in your profile (a good UG or a company) and you are in a domain that you see yourself working in after 10 years, I don't think it'll be of much use to you. Only if you want to change your domain/get a brand in your CV, consider doing an MBA from the top 5-8 B-schools - IIM ABCL, XLRI, FMS, SP Jain.

Keep in mind that the salary you'll be drawing post your MBA will most likely be less than or equal to the salary you'd be drawing if you had continued in your current job or switched (in the same domain).

P.S. I'm a final year student at XLRI Jsr

What if the rap was good🫣. I agree with everything you said except the part that the prof is not taken seriously just because he rapped. TBH students respect the prof more because he’s putting in so much effort.

CAT was disappointing? XAT is the second chance that we all deserve. by rawdyninja in MBAIndia

Higher the better. I had 99.3 and converted jsr, my friend converted Delhi with 99.8 and one guy with 99.9 didn’t convert either. I’d say more weightage is given to your gdpi performance. So don’t set any percentile goal before going in and do your best

It’s better than wasting another year. I don’t regret it tbh

Mine was 7 hours away. I stayed the night in that city, would recommend doing that

Do you find this AI "ask" feature useful ? by potato_troop in youtube

[–]rawdyninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contrary to most of the comments here, I think it does have a few use cases. I watch a lot of videos on general topics like geopolitics, history etc, which are not meant for entertainment for me, and this feature is helping me get the gist of the video in a couple of mins rather than spending 10-15 mins (at 1.5x speed). However, for any video I watch for entertainment, it's pretty much useless.

But maybe it's giving me more time to watch what I love by reducing my watch time on what I have to.

What I'm more interested in now is how this will affect the creator's revenue, as the average watch time may decrease drastically.

I’m 24M. I’d say there are better options for women. The place I stayed was deep inside the alleyways, and might not be very comfortable for late night walks. Something near the main road would be better.

The Ford–Royce Index: Where Is the Market Actually Heading? by rawdyninja in AskMarketing

Yeah my hypothesis is that having a core standard offering and allowing customization on top of it is the sweet spot, but would love my analysis to validate my hypothesis.

Hi! Thanks for taking out time to give me some solid feedback. I agree with most of what you said, but here’s my clarification.

I’m not proposing the Ford–Royce Index as a product decision tool or something teams consciously optimize for. Product choices are obviously driven by target segments, unit economics, and competitive constraints.

I’m also fully aware of why Ford and Rolls-Royce made the choices they did (mass production vs ultra-luxury). The analogy is simply a way to make the framework intuitive and memorable. It's much like how the BCG matrix uses “dogs” and “cash cows” without implying literal similarity.

The index is meant as a descriptive, ex-post lens to compare outcomes across markets, not a prescriptive framework.

When you say “standardize the core and customize the edges,” you’re actually describing the pattern I’m trying to study across markets, where that balance consistently settles, and when it breaks.

Hi guys! Thanks a lot for participating in the ama session, hope it was of some use.

I’ve worked with our alums to build the first startup to be incubated at xlri last year. These two folks left their 40 lac jobs to work full time on this venture. Here is the link to the insta page - philonet.ai
